For auction is a beautiful 1971 Volvo 1800E in original white w/ red interior. This is the best year for performance with the 130HP B20E engine and has electronic overdrive and A/C from the factory. Only 53,xxx miles showing on the 6 digit odometer, I don't know if that is original mileage, but it could be. Runs very well, has new clutch and brakes and the paint shines nicely. It was repainted in the original color at some point and was a nice job, though not recent and there are some blemishes, chips and scratches when up close. Needs nothing to drive daily and is a very solid car form New Mexico originally and then went to Oregon before I purchased it last year and had it shipped to NJ. It has never seen road salt. There is no rust holes anywhere, even on the underside. The interior is showing its age with some tears in the seats and cracks in the dash, the result of being in a very dry climate. Though the original carpet is still in excellent condition and the car doesn't leak. Everything mechanically and electrically works, including the A/C, but even though the compressor kicks in it doesn't blow very cold, so will need a recharge. The wipers, heater, horn, lights, windows, etc. all work as they should. The front end is excellent, the car drives straight, handles and rides very well. Tires are fairly new with plenty of tread. It's all stock, no modifications that I can see except an updated Blaupunkt Radio at some point. It even has the rare 1800E 15" alloy wheels. Comes with a full service history of receipts and the owners manual with the name/location of the first owner in NM. Clean NJ title in my name. Fly in and drive it home.
