This is a great starter bike. That is how I used it. I have the benefit of know the previous owner. If you notice, the mileage for the age of the bike of very low. My friend bought this bike from a gentleman that had it in storage for a couple years. He then road it for a single summer and after laying it down (please see pictures for minor damage), he also put the bike into storage for 2 years, which is when I bought the bike. I bought it at the end of the season 3 years ago. At that time, I put a new battery in it and rode it enough to get my license. Over that winter I replaced the stator (similar to the alternator on your car) and had the carburetors rebuilt. Since then, it has run great. I have put about 8,000 miles on it over the last two years both as a daily ride to and from work and on long trips. I put new tires on it this spring (please see pictures). There is some minor damage to the right side from my friend laying it down but as you can see from the pictures, the bike still looks really nice as it is. Fairing kits (new plastics) can be found for very reasonable prices for this bike. It could use new fork seals. I will include a new chain and a clutch cable that I bought (not on bike). Also, the throttle tube ($9) could use replaced because it does not snap back but I like it because it functions like a cruise control when you had cramps. I have loved owning this bike. It have been very dependable for me and runs great. I hope the next owner has a much fun with it as I have!
