1947 Packard Custom Super Clipper Body by Henney C.C.C.A. Classic. This is a Long Wheelbase, 148 inches. 7 passenger same as Limousine with occasional seats, but with NO DIVIDER WINDOW, front seat is cloth and adjustable, a Limousine front seat is black leather and fixed position. The Long Wheelbase Custom Super Clippers were custom built by Henney . Custom Built body and over built drive train, Big Brakes, and truck size bearings and axels. This Packard is just out of storage, I was driving it before it was stored. My mechanic got the Custom Eight started briefly using fresh gas and new plugs, clean points. The fuel pump works, but the gas tank will have to be drained, the gas is bad. The Brakes work. Paint looks to be original Packard Blue, worn through in several spots. B Carl E. Baileyody is straight and seems solid, the trunk does need metal replacement, good for pattern, see pictures. Chrome and Stainless seem good, bumpers need to be re-chromed for show. It needs interior , front, rear and headliner. Window moldings and Dash have been painted in wood grain, see pictures Dash and gauges will need to be reassembled. All systems will need to be checked or serviced. Great touring car, business opportunity, fun to drive, bring the whole gang! I got a call from a ebay member who said he used to own this car, his initals are JJM, see picture. His daughter called him and said she had a surprise, she remembered the initals. He bought her in 1973 and had her for 11years. He said the original owner was the former Governor of Arkansas 1935 to 1941, Carl E. Bailey. Affordable True Classic.
