THE PREVIOUS OWNER HAD A FRIEND TOW THIS WITH AT TOW STRAP TO A LOCAL CAR DEALER IN CENTRAL TX BECUASE THEY COULD NOT GET IT STARTED. WHILE TOWING IT TO THE DEALER THEY RAN IN TO THE BACK OF THE TRUCK THEY WERE TOWING IT WITH AND DAMAGED THE FRONT BUMPER. WHILE AT THE DEALERSHIP WAITING FOR THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT TO LOOK AT IT, AN OUT GOING SALES REP TALKED THEM IN TO JUST TRADING IT IN AND BUYING A NEWER PRE OWNED SUV. SO AT THIS TIME THE USED CAR DEPARTMENT JUST SENT IT TO AUCTION. NOW WHAT I CAN TELL YOU FROM MY INVESTIGATION. THE TRUCK HAD A DEAD BATTERY WHEN WE CHECKED IT SO I PUT A TEMPORY BATTERY IN IT AND THE ENGINE TURNED REAL SLOW LIKE THE STARTER WAS DRAGGING. i THEN PUT A BOOSTER BOX ON IT TO SEE IF THAT WOULD HELP, AND IT DID NOT. I HAVE CHECKED THE OIL AND IT SEEMS TO BE FULL AND DOES NOT SEEM TO HAVE ANYTHING IN IT. ALSO WHEN I WAS TRYING TO START IT I DID NOTICE THAT THE CABLES WERE GETTING HOT.
