1954 Belvedere Top-of-the-line Plymouth in running/driving condition. Solid trouble-free body, with decent paint and interior. No cancer in the floors, frame, or door bottoms. Car was built in Evansville, Indiana, and had only one owner from 1966 to 2010. Currently located on I-94, half way between Chicago and Detroit. Detailed Description: Engine runs good, and starts easily via heavy gauge copper battery cables, and 6 volt electric fuel pump. Transmission shifts smoothly, and the differential is quiet. The front brake hoses have been replaced, the master cylinder has been rebuilt, and so have all 4 front wheel cylinders. The speedometer and temperature gauge work properly, and there are no overheating issues. The heater control valve is currently by-passed. The car needs a few things, but most of it is optional or typical. The weather strips are showing their age, the windshield has a rock chip, and the original wiring under the hood should be updated. The headlights work, but the horn and tail lights need to be rewired. I drive the car regularly using hand signals. The engine has a couple of oil leaks, and could use a valve adjustment (clicky lifters), but it runs strong, and idles smooth. Exterior: The paint is older, but still very nice. Touching up a few nicks and small scratches on the fenders would make it even nicer. The only things that detract are several scuffs on the bumpers, and pitted chrome on the lamp trim and tail fins. The huge volume of stainless steel trim that comes standard on Belvederes, is complete, and nearly all in excellent condition. The 2 corner pieces above the front bumper need new clips, but I have both pieces. Interior: The headliner and cardboard kick panels are missing, and the bottoms of the door panels are a little weathered. Otherwise the interior is clean and comfortable to ride in.
