1966 Ford Thunderbird- No Reserve! The economy has taken its toll on me and unfortunately I must sell my '66 T-bird to help keep up with past and present bills. I have almost $20k invested in this car and hundreds of man hours, but my loss is your gain. This is an original, numbers matching, 390 V8 Landau edition Thunderbird. I purchased the car from southern California which I'm pretty sure is also where it was manufactured and spent its entire life. (this is also evident from the extremely limited amount of rust or corrosion on the vehicle, which is one of the main reasons I chose this particular T-bird to restore) I was told the previous owner was the second owner and the old CA title(which I was able to keep in addition to the current title) reflects that the previous owner had this car since 1975. The speedometer currently reads 12908 and it has an actual miles title however I can't confirm that those are 100% accurate original miles. This car has undergone a complete mechanical overhaul over the past several years. It is currently ready to drive and enjoy or become show car quality after new paint and interior. I truly have done too much to list and have most of my receipts to back it up, but here is a short list of what has been done to the car recently. It has only been driven about 300 miles since the overhaul and still even has the break-in oil in the engine! - Rebuilt 390 V-8 engine by Gene's engine service in Phoenix (painted correct Ford Blue)- Rebuilt C6 automatic transmission by Frank's Automatic Transmission in Phoenix- Rebuilt steering box by Benchworks in Scottsdale- New dual exhaust with Flowmaster 44's built by Scottsdale Muffler(sounds awesome but not obnoxious by any means)- Completely new front end with all new bushings, powder-coated A-arms/springs, etc...- Currently less than 100 miles on new tires- New battery, starter, radiator, master cylinder, window switches, lighting relays, power steering pump, air filter, hoses, belts, battery cables/wires, overflow tank, tires, and more...Average NADA is $15,275 and high retail NADA is $20,930 and I definitely would put this car in well above average mechanical condition and average cosmetic condition. Because I am in need of money quickly, I have listed this as a no reserve auction with a starting bid well below NADA at only $5959. But please serious bidders only. Do not bid if you are not prepared to buy and have the funds to pay in full within 3 days of auction end. I also retain right to end auction early as car is also for sale locally.
