Vehicle Detail
This great looking bike was built in Sept. of 1973, and sold as a 1974. The flawless paint and decal work is in the style of 1971. The main part of the restoration was done over a period of time in 2006 and 2007. The bike has been ridden about 1,000 miles since, and stored since. See the attached list for a partial list of the detail that has gone into preserving this bike. "New old stock" was used whenever possible, like the seat which is perfect, down to the silver lettering, and the side covers, which are perfect, inside and out . The best available used parts were bought and then re-chromed , if needed. (covers, wheels, spokes, etc.) The pipes have no holes, leaks, or rust, just a couple of minor scuffs. The bike is not a museum piece, it has very minor flaws, like a nick of chrome off the kick starter, a pea size dent on the front fender,(didn't break the chrome and was too small to photograph. The handlebars are not stock, and wiring would have been inside originally. There is fading on the gauges. Ignition switch was relocated to side of tank. All of these are easy corrections , if your wish is to restore to showroom perfection. The way it sits now, it looks fantastic five feet away, and to anyone who isn't an expert on these bikes, it is perfect.. This spring I had the carbs cleaned and adjusted, and an oil and filter change less than 20 miles ago. This 750 starts and runs as it should. A bit cold-blooded first, then like a beast after about five minutes. (Just like you remember) Included are four extra plugs, original owners manual, shop manual, complete tool kit with pouch, and record log. (pages shown) Please email with questions. $500 paypal deposit within 24 of auction end, for balance within one week, cash, postal money order preferred, bank cashiers check ok. Winner responsible for pick up and delivery, but I will help. Located just off Hwy 65, with easy access. International bidders contact me before bidding. I've lowered the reserve and the buy it now, both to less than what I have in the bike. My next project is on the way, and this will make a great summer ride for someone.
