Vehicle Detail
The previous winner suddenly had no money so the car is being relisted. All of you who asked me about buying the car after the auction ended. Here is your second chance :-) This is my 2000 BMW M5 Dinan Stage 1. This car runs perfectly smooth down the road. No vibration. No issues. It has been well maintained most recently at Century BMW in Greenville SC where it just received a new Fuel Pump and G-Force sensor for the DSC. The car had a clutch at 88K miles. Recently it has had control arms and brand new Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires in the rear. The fronts are about 50%. The car has no issues and drives perfectly smooth. When I say smooth I mean smooth. No wheel bends, no pulling. Perfectly straight. There are no issues! No leaks! The air is ice cold. The heated seats works. No dead pixels, The vanity lights work :-) EVERYTHING WORKS. There are no issues! No leaks! There are no weird vanos noises. It has been upgraded to the 2001 plus head unit and front headlights and CELIS tailights. The performance is breathtaking. There is a reason this car is called the beast. If you don't believe me google it. I am very careful to wait for the oil temp (not just the coolant temp) to come up before I exceed 4000rpm. The cars power can be best described as effortless and relentless. The handling is fantastic and the car feels planted always. Triple digits feels like 70mph. The car has a couple of paint chips on the hood and a couple of dings on the lip right below the trunk opening. Otherwise its in amazing condition. The interior is beautiful. The car was previously owned by a BMW mechanic and was garage kept. It has never been smoked in. In addition to the recent control arms, Michelin Pilot Super Sport Tires, the clutch, the dsc sensor, here are some other things from the warranty printout. Mileage 1480 - 1200 Mile Service2689 - Mass Air Sensor12,872 Oil Service24,466 - Inspection I30,790 - Blower Output Stage , Blower Motor Replaced35,392 - Inspection I42075 - 2/23/2004 Valve Gasket, Power Steering Hose and LCD pixel display replaced in dash58639 - Catalytic Converter Trimmed (thats what it says)72269 - Tank Vent Valve Replaced It has a note that the Dinan Software was installed at 58,639 and then again at 65,292 because of a DME recall at 65,292 SIB#12-11-06 - Thats whats on the paperwork.I use the 10W-60 Castrol TWS oil (purchased from bavauto.com). I have my own lift and private shop. I still outsource to the dealership when I am too busy (ie recent fuel pump / gforce sensor). It is due for its next oil change at 114K. The last one was at 109K. I follow the old school maintenance for all my BMWs (meaning do it ahead of time at 5k intervals). Not when the service indicator tells me. There is no such thing as a lifetime fill for any car on any component regardless of what a car company says. I am selling to fund upgrades on my older BMWs....Turbo M30 anyone :-). My wife drives an E55 ( I wanted a car I could also enjoy driving and she cant drive a manual and has declined to learn) . Regardless of what anyone says it is more fun to drive a E39 M5 vs a W210 or W211 E55. 6spd vs auto.....no contest.I have a E32 735i manual, E32 M5, E34 M5 and a E34 540i 6spd. I know these cars Let me know if you have more questions. My feedback speaks for itself. On May-21-14 at 12:04:47 PDT, seller added the following information: If you are wondering why the price dropped back below reserve I canceled the bid of this zero feedback bidder after he sent me this message. Dear m120600sel,hellosorry to say due to health issue will have to with draw my offer'regrets John- hrvoje*2011 Its these kind of people that ruin auctions and the experience for the rest of us. If you have zero feedback or "financial issues" please don't bid on my M5. This is a fantastic E39 M5. It deserves to go to the home of someone who loves M5s and can afford to give her the care she deserves. Thank you, Brian
