2000 Ford Focus SE Wagon, good looking and running automobile in need of minor work. 2000 Ford Focus SE Wagon in dark green with tan interior. Car has 152k miles and runs well. I can personally attest to the reliability of this car because I drove it 7 nights a week from Reading, Pa to our Philadelphia accounts, (about 55 miles), and back every morning. It had roughly 120k when we bought it. It's equipped with the following: 2.0 Split port injected 4 cylinder engine, front wheel drive, automatic trans, A/C, Power windows and locks with auto lock feature when you place the selector into drive, AM/FM CD stereo, alloy wheels, cruise control and intermittent wipers. I'll break down the good and the bad so you can decide your bid.THE GOOD: Car runs smoothly, transmission shifts well, brakes are good, A/C blows ice cold, CD deck works, all power functions operate well, car looks good, has very little rust and only a few minor dings. The way it looks in the photos is pretty close to how it looks when you're standing next to it. Battery is strong and there are no major mechanical issues. THE BAD: Car will need a muffler. It's not leaking but the muffler hanger broke, the last pic shows my quick fix..;-) The exhaust is fine otherwise, and the car runs quietly.The rear driver door will not open. It started sticking a few months ago. I believe the latch release is broken inside the door handle. The check engine light has been on now for about 6 months. Car runs fine, so most likely a sensor. It will also need to be inspected. It went through the last inspection needing nothing. The biggest issue is this...the car will go through tires pretty quickly, about every 10,000 miles. While I am unsure why, I do believe the car was hit at some point before we owned it and I don't think it tracks straight. I simply bought used tires and dealt with it. This would be a great car for someone who needs a decent second vehicle or someone who has automotive experience and can repair it correctly. It would make a great parts car too, but I cringe at the thought of that. It's been good to me. I have priced in a buy it now of $1600.00 Kelly Blue book value for this is 2200.00 in good condition and 1800.00 in fair condition. Note: THIS AUCTION ENDS THURSDAY THE 22ND AT 3 PM!!
