Purchased last year from the Motorcycle Museum in Greenbay Wisconsin, this is a very clean example of a classic bike in VERY GOOD CONDITION. Tires are great with lots of tread (see pictures) paint is perfect and the bike was regularly serviced and had its oil and filter changed. I have only had the bike for a year, and now must sell it because apparently there is a "rule" in my household that one motorcycle is enough (who knew?!) -- so the arrival of a used BMW R1200RT requires that this fine Honda be sold. The bike runs well and needs nothing. The only flaw I've found is a nickel sized dent in the muffler (see picture). I am in my 60's, and owned bikes like this when they were new...! The bike has always been stored indoors and received routine maintenance. I am, the Museum owner said, the third owner. The museum regularly serviced and briefly drove this bike even though it was part of the collection. (I have the most recent service record from the Museum). This is a clean, authentic bike and runs fine, but it is 35 years old, with a rear drum brake. This is not a first bike for a beginner. It is, however, an easy bike to ride because it has no clutch and shifts between a low and a high range (with neutral in between). I want to sell this promptly and have set the price well below the value of this bike (the Museum appraised it at around $3,000 based on an appraisal system for vintage motorcycles).
