0 0 0 This 1967 BMW R69S is a TRIPLE MATCHING NUMBERS bike (#662071). It’s a 1-kick starter which shifts well, revs strongly and rides very smoothly. Though the odometer shows approx 70k miles, this is very hard to imagine given this bikes condition and ride ability. I have owned and enjoyed the bike for the past year having purchased it from another mechanically meticulous friend who purchased it 4 years prior. The paint is very good-excellent overall. It has a smaller than pea-sized imperfection on the front fender, another small pea-sized ding on the front edge of the tank and a dime sized paint rub on the rear fender where it flip-ups to rest against the rear rack during tire removal. There is only one minor scratch on the bike and I have left it as-is. That is on the front left leading edge of front fender (see pic) but it is non-structural, non-dented and an easy paint-only fix. This is a very nice bike, impressively clean and original. An easy candidate for a concours restoration or, keep as-is and ride with confidence and pride. Newer correct Metzeler tires, rims are excellent. Tank tool box is locked. I have a new lock mechanism with matching keys ready to install. Original center and side stands.
