Vehicle Detail

I used this car every summer at my summer house to haul everything to the beach this summer house is sold and all my projects are done so I no longer need the car This Ford wagon features some rare options that make it more enjoyable automatic transmission Air-conditioning Power steering Power Brakes Power windows Power front seat AM/FM radio Clock Dual rear view mirrors 352 4 barrel motor Duel Exhaust Luggage rack and of course the standard six ashtrays ( we don’t smoke ) This was a one owner car when I purchased it for my wife in 2006 the seller signed a This statement that it had 37221 original miles and had service statements from 1989 showing 27623 miles the original owners manual is still in the glove box Like all old cars I buy the first thing I had done was the front end I needed to put $1700.00 in the front end & suspension and $450.00 to have the radiator redone so it was safe and fun to drive then I gave it to my wife In 2007 I had the steering box replaced for about $500.00 and the power steering pump and pulley $150.00 In 2008 with 42000 miles the exhaust manifolds developed a leak the heads had to be pulled to do the repair the heads are off might as well do a valve job $1921.53 In 2011 both mufflers were replaced along with a new battery In 2012 I didn't like how it idled so I sent the original carburetor out and had it rebuilt $283.00 I also had the starter rebuilt $100.00 Last summer I put new carpet in it and the floors were very solid and the floor in the cargo area is solid This Month I had the brake booster redone 250.00 it's a good running 49 year old car with 45,000 miles it has passed Massachusetts state inspection every year with no problem and is insured if someone wants to test drive the photos show the interior is original and in overall good shape I've driven this car at 75 miles a hour for 70 miles with the AC on in the summer heat with no problems Its sits it my garage during the winter months then I put the accelerator pedal down a couple of times and it starts right up and idles smooth With all that being said I never did anything to the body it was repainted before I purchased it there is some filler in the rear quarters and the paint job was fair at best when it was done and is now more than 8 years old the latch on the spare tire cover is loose the dash pad has a buckle near windsheid Below the left rear door the is a bubble you can see in photo The hood has some holes like a ornament was once mounted on it One of the rear windows doesn't work but I will include a new switch The clock is not working but I will include a working one The country Squire emblem is broken on the fender but I will include a NOS one One on the hood lip trim has a ding I will include another one The front springs are good but I will included a new set I have a full set of used / spare wood trim which I will include so you can enjoy it as is or take it to the level I have a mint 66 GTO convertible and a near mint 68 Mustang but everywhere I go this car gets more attention than both of them people always come up to me saying their dad had one A couple of years ago I was coming back from a dump run in this car and saw a car show my wife and I stopped in to take a look and much to my surprise they gave me a spot there were some very high end cars there but the people loved the wagon telling their childhood stories about sitting in the rear area of their parents station wagon, hanging out the open rear window Because station wagons were neither well cared for nor considered worth saving the cars are real head-turners today. None are more so than the Ford Country Squire the very embodiment of American suburbia. this big Ford is a surprisingly practical classic, handy for hauling the occasional bulky item put the back seat down and sheet rock fits perfectly it's also perfect for taking the kids out for ice-cream and dump runs OUT OF USA BUYERS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL NEEDED SHIPPING PAPER WORK AND FEES THAT MAYBE NEEDED AT TIME OF PICK UP This car is for sale locally reserve right to end auction early
