Vehicle Detail

1963 Dodge Dart 270 Convertible. Engine 3.7L 3687CC 225Cu. SLANT 6, upgraded to SUPER SIX Two barrel Carb and Intake Manifold Unique 3 speed Push button automatic. This Dart has been a garaged car for the last 20 years and hasn't seen so much as a drop of rain. Last fall I replaced the engine with a newly rebuilt Slant 6 225 and upgraded the carb and intake manifold to make it into a SUPER SIX. I have put less than 100 miles on the vehicle since replacing the engine. Most new engine components are new or newly rebuilt. Carb, Distributor, Ignition parts, Alternator, Hoses, Fan belts, etc. The battery was purchased one week ago from this listing. The engine starts right up and purrs like a kitten. The paint on this vehicle is very nice looking but is not perfect, it has some scratches and dings but there is NO rust or Bondo work. I tried to take pictures of all the areas of paint that are not perfect. There is no rust underneath either, the seat pans are solid. The convertible top is very nice condition, there are no tears. The top is automatic/electric but is currently not working and must be manually put up by hand. I've determined that the 2 Convertible top hydraulic cylinders need replacing. These are very easy to get to and cost about $140 each for new ones online. The pump seems to still be working fine. On the interior of the vehicle, all the upholstery was custom replaced about 5 years ago to match the paint. There are no tears and is in very good condition. The inner door panels and Dash are all original and by no means in mint condition. Please review the pictures. The steering components and front suspension need some love. It's a bit loose when driving. If I was going to keep the car this was the next thing I would have addressed. I purchased a replacement steering gear box and will throw it in. In the trunk I am throwing in a ton of spare parts including: Steering Gearbox New in box Mopar electronic ignition upgrade kit. Couple of extra Dart hub caps Some spare trim parts, lights, misc. Official 1963 Dart Service Manual Fitted car cover Actual Odometer reading as of this listing is 76,783 - however the rebuilt engine currently has less than 100 miles on it. I am willing to show the vehicle to anyone that needs to see it before bidding. Please read my entire post and carefully review any pictures before asking to see the vehicle. I am available to answer any questions you might have via email or phone and can take additional photos or videos on request. I am located around the 8 mile and Woodward area. I would greatly prefer local pickup. If you want to ship this vehicle out of the area, it will be up to you to arrange at your cost. $500 deposit is due within 48 hours of the winning bid with the remainder due within 5 days. If a deposit it not received within 48 hours, I reserve the right to relist the vehicle or sell to next highest bidder.
