Vehicle Detail
THIS IS AN EXTREMELY CLEAN CAR IN GREAT WORKING CONDITION. The Mercedes-Benz 280CE was produced from 1976 through 1985. The 280 Series were powered by a six-cylinder engine with had a cast-iron block and aluminum head. Horsepower measured 180 with 220 foot-pounds of torque. A four-speed automatic gearbox was standard with disc brakes in the front and rear. They featured a steel unibody construction and offered as a four-door sedan (280S), and a two door coupe, the 280C. The NADA pricing on this car is $6,900 low & $13,600 high. This is an excellent running & driving car. This is a rare Mercedes as not many are even offered for sale. Totally restored, they bring upwards of 15k (do the research). This car 99.99....% there. It is absolutely beautiful. This car has electric sunroof, AC & heat, power windows, steering, cruise control. There is no rust whatsoever. It has been a CA car. I bought it from the previous seller who lived in my neighborhood. I am not sure but I believe that he was the original owner. He certainly took very good care of this car based on its condition. The paint is still original & still holds a good shine, it is absolutely beautiful. The interior is original, and look at the pictures to see how pristine it is. The sunroof doesn't leak & works fine. The brakes and tires are in good condition. All the glass is in excellent condition, no cracks, or discoloration, except a very small area at the bottom of rear window has some staining, (looks like someone left something there in the past and its color shows on the window a little, it may come off possibly but frankly, I never had time to try (the reason for sale, not enough time to be enjoying this car). All the lights work & function correctly. This car runs & drives very well. It has the 6cyl. engine & the 123 frame. The car drives very straight on the road, shifts smoothly, the trunk is so clean you can eat off the trunk floor, it is something to see. The engine bay is also very nice and clean and it is all original. There are no blemishes on the dash. The wood vaneers are in very good condition, the steering wheel is nice and clean and also in original condition. There are very few of these in this condition. I drove this car for a few occasions recently and there are no rattles or shakes no sounds. The radio works fine and it has also a CD changer in the trunk which seems very authentic and it has a remote control inside the car in between bucket seats. I am not sure if the CD changer is original, but it appears to be one of those Mercedes used, I have one in my SL600. I am not sure if it works, never test it it (I should try). But looking at everything in the car I want to say I am sure it works fine. I had a lot of interest on this car. Please do not ask me about what I will take for the car. I do not want to disclose the reserve, yet, I am open to someone making an offer on the car, if that is what you want to do simply let me know what you are willing to offer and not ask what I would take for it. If your offer is something I am willing to take, I am happy to tell you that and we have a deal. I am a private seller. If you want the car and want to make an offer please bid or e-mail with your offer to see if that will stop the auction and buy the car for you. Thank you for your interest in this car.
