Rare STEEL BLUE Factory Air 4 speed 1975 STINGRAY CONVERTIBLE The last year a Stingray Convertible was offered until this year. If you are looking for a great investment that you can tinker with and enjoy for less than a “numbers matching trailer queen” …this is it. A fun car that sat inside a detached garage for many years. Built 39 years ago in St. Louis Missouri it still has both its original interior and convertible top. After purchase from his widow the car received a full set of stainless steel sleeved calipers, the oil was changed, the fuel system was flushed and after only a few cranks the car purred just like it does every time I’ve hit the key since. It doesn’t kill the battery after sitting a month either. This is a good looking and running car that will need shocks and a few other things to meet your standards. My selling price will allow you plenty of room to make improvements without spending anywhere near the 20 grand that a 4 speed air 1975 stingray convertible will bring; and if you do happen to find one it won’t likely be “Steel Blue”. The old dry and cracked original bumpers have also been replaced. Some of these pictures were taken before and you really can’t tell that the car was completely repainted afterward but to me it does look much better than trying to match the old paint. As for this rare paint color…An N.C.R.S. judge speculated that this was an unusually late car to even have this color. If you read your “Black Book” the color was only offered for three months before they gave up trying to get it to flow out properly. He further went on to say that the car was originally painted with R&M acrylic lacquer in code 27L Steel Blue. Rare 4 speed with factory air conditioning. Stored and not driven over several years. No need to ever disconnect the battery. This car starts right up every time. These are very old dry rotted tires. Found with this same interior. Clear Florida title. It would be nearly impossible to find another Stingray convertible originally delivered in this color and with these options, truly a very rare combination. In 1975 Chevrolet ceased to offer a Corvette convertible. A Stingray convertible was not available again until this year. Only 4,629 1975 convertibles were built… please check your fact book on how many had 4 speed transmissions installed. This car had not been driven in years. Paint on the bumpers was cracked. The brakes were frozen and the fuel was old. These issues have now been corrected and this car is ready to be taken to the next level. As you see I have not replaced any of the interior or the tires; as a result I am able to offer this car to you for far less money. The NCRS shipping data report shows this car was shipped new to A & C Chevrolet in Ft. Montgomery New York on 2/3/1975. I am a licensed Florida Dealer.
