Front 245 x 50 ZR16 - Rear • High-performance alignment and tuned chassis• • Four-wheel SVO-type disc brakes Special grooved brake rotors 1989 SALEEN MUSTANG SSC FEATURES AND SPECIFICATIONS PERFORMANCE ENHANCEMENTS • Strut tower braces, Racecraft chassis bracing • 5-lug bolt pattern • Hurst quick-ratio shifter • Auburn traction loc cone clutch differential assembly • Heavy-duty clutch • Heavy-duty clutch disc • Four-point interior chassis support AERODYNAMICS • Saleen Autosport competition-design rear wing • Saleen Autosport edition urethane front air dam • Saleen Autosport edition urethane side skirts • Saleen Autosport edition urethane rear valance SPECIAL SSC INTERIOR MODIFICATIONS • Special SSC two-passenger design • Special SSC-designed 200 mph speedometer • Special SSC-designed electronic tachometer • Special SSC-designed hand-tailored glove leather interior includes steering wheel, seats, door panels and shift knob • Special SSC full-carpet set • Special SSC 200-watt Pioneer sound system Pioneer CD player • Special SSC-designed rear sound enclosure • Special SSC limited-edition serialization • Special SSC-designed speed control installation • Special SSC-designed left side driver’s foot rest • Special SSC-designed windshield tint band • Saleen Mustang owner’s jacket • Saleen Mustang owner’s manual This particular car is in need of a restoration,it's age and miles (101,000) are starting to show but if you are looking for a ssc to modify or one to restore this car would be a option. -The exterior of the car is starting to show some rust areas in the fenders,doors,and hatch areas,from what I can tell the inner fenders,floors,trunk,and shock towers are all still solid.The paint also has started to come off some of the exterior trim moldings,this car has normal dings,scratches,and chips in the paintthat you would expect from a car of this age that has been driven regularly.At one time the drivers side front fender has been replaced and paint work was done,all other vin id tags are in place except this one.When the work was done at the body shop the fender to door gap did not get adjusted correctly so the gap is a little off. -The interior of the car is also one you would expect of a car that has been driven,the front drivers seat side bolster is worn badly from getting in and out of the car,the leather on all of the seats,door panels,and steering wheel are starting to crack or show wear.All parts are present except the radio,and the speaker box cover. -The drivetrain on the car seems to be mechanically solid,the car runs,shifts,and drives as it should.The engine has been out at some point and had a aftermarket cam added (I would guess a motorsport b303 camshaft) other than that I am not sure if anything else has been done internally as there is no documentation of the work being done.There are a couple of oil leaks or seeps one from what looks like the rear main seal and the other at the rear end which appears to be the pinion seal,nothing major just wanted the buyer to be aware of.The car has a new fuel pump,intake gaskets,belts,hoses,clutch cable,and the fluids changed during time the work was being completed. -The suspension on the car is still the original racecraft suspension sway bars and strut tower brace are still present on the car,but this car did not come with subframe connectors.Also the original adjustable suspension on the car is long gone and I do not have these parts available to go with the car. -The car has the original dp5 5 spoke wheels,but one front wheel has a broken spoke which is common with these wheels and will need to be replaced before the car is driven.There is also one center cap that is missing from the set but reproduction caps can be found here on e-bay.The car does have new Cooper zeon tires on all 4 corners. -Other things to mention there is a small crack in the windshield,the power door locks are inoperable along with the passenger side window switch.The door and window moldingsare also in need of replacement as they are dry and do not seal very tight.Over all this is a car that will need restored but with the limited production of the ssc this would make a good project or a car that can be modified without hurting the value of the car.There are probably other things that I have forgot to mention about the car that I will add to this listing as I remember them,but please feel free to ask any questions about the car and I will do my best to answer them.
