Vehicle Detail
Bought this off ebay in 2012. The plan was to rebuild but never got around to it. I've stored it in a heated garage. Following is the wording from when I purchased it: Low milage, unmolested factory original. Last year of the SOHC 750 fours. Original paint, fenders, undamaged seat, etc. The only exception is an aftermarket (OE-like 4-into 1) muffler. New chain, plugs, new Metzler tires. Currently not quite running, but that's from sitting. "Ran well when parked" as the saying goes. Excellent cold compression. builds oil pressure on the starter, etc. As some point the speedometer was replaced, so please note that the listed milage (which is required by ebay) indicates the mileage showing on the used replacement odometer, not the actual mileage for this bike. The exact milage is unknown, but I believe it's a lot lower, and the bike has covered very few miles since I replaced the original chain and tires, so draw your own conclusions. Very good original condition, but of course showing its age and patina. All the electronis work has one broken side reflector near the headlight. I've been planning to rebuild the carbs, as it currently only runs barely on full choke, so I suspect they're in need of a good soaking and cleaning. Carb kits and/or parts are available from Honda and aftermarket. needs a new battery. Needs front brake hydraulics cleaned and flushed and maybe rebuilt (the calipers stick a bit). That is the end of the original listing.... My comments. I rolled it off the truck and into my garage. Never did anything more than that. Its an old bike that looks like it sat in a shed for a long time. To my untrained eye, I believe a carb and brake cleaning would get it on the road, but who knows. I'm more worried about getting it out of the shop to make room than how much I get for it so ask me anything and I will do my best to answer you. I have 100% positive feedback and I want to keep it that way. On the bill of sale from when I bought the bike the former owner made the following statement (which is notarized): Seller warrants that the total accumulated vehicle mileage displayed on the odometer is not even approximately accurate, and is entirely the result of the installation of a used speedometer/odometer unit displaying that approximate mileage. The exact accumulated mileage is unknown, but Seller represents that it is substantially lower than indicated, perhaps 1/4 of that amount. On Apr-09-14 at 07:42:03 PDT, seller added the following information: I've added a couple of pictures. One is an attempt to show that the tank is clean as far as a visual inspection can tell. The other picture shows that the lock has been removed from the tank.On Apr-09-14 at 07:45:13 PDT, seller added the following information: I have a clean title to the bike.
