Vehicle Detail
This is my personal vehicle. I am not a dealer. This is not a junk auction truck with one key. I am planning for a deployment and a job change so I must sell my pride and joy. I am a perfectionist about my truck so please be patient with all the details. This is a RARE 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 MegaCab with the unstoppable 5.9L Cummins. The last full year the 5.9L was available before Dodge went to the unreliable 6.7L. This is the absolute top of the line Laramie. Every available option. You will not find a cleaner, more pampered and maintained Ram 3500 MegaCab Laramie. Only 69,994 miles. I have spent a lot of time, money, and energy keeping my vehicle perfect… but I have to sell for my upcoming deployment. If you're looking for a cheap or "decent" quality MegaCab, this one is not for you. I have cared for it like a family member. Never off road or abused.
BACKGROUND: A few years ago, I spent a long time looking for a CLEAN 2006 Dodge Ram MegaCab with the 5.9L Cummins. I did not want the 6.7L since it is suffocated by EPA requirements. I didn't want a junk auction truck or a dealer mystery trade-in. Quality MegaCabs with the 5.9L are extremely rare. No one will part with them!!! After six months of searching, I found this gem. It was owned by an older man in Arizona who kept it in his garage. Completely stock. He had a slide-in camper that he used a few times. He drove it only on weekend camping trips near his home. He had a gooseneck Hide-A-Ball hitch installed and he towed his small trailer once. This MegaCab was beautiful. It looked new. Garage kept. I flew to Arizona and drove it back to Texas. I planned on keeping it for decades so I only ran fully synthetic 15w40 Royal Purple diesel motor oil. And, I kept the fuel clean with a Baldwin .5 micron filter every 10,000 miles. I am miliary, so I was deployed soon after I bought the truck. In my free time during my deployment, I spent hours researching the best suspension system, the best shocks, and the best installer. I read every review. I decided to purchase the bulletproof Superlift 4" system so the truck could still be "drivable" and practical. I also decided on the more expensive Bilstein shocks, only BFGoodrich tires, and the best XD wheels. No detail was overlooked. I contacted a professional suspension installer while I was overseas, and scheduled the install for the week I returned to the states. IT RIDES BETTER THAN STOCK. SMOOTH... SOLID... NO WANDERING... NO VIBRATION... ZERO ROAD NOISE. It rides better than the soft, spongy factory suspension. As you can see by the pictures, this MegaCab is as close to a new factory clean as you can get. It has been pampered. Never driven off-road. Always cared for to last a half-million miles. Every door seal and window seal is like new. No creaks, wind noise, or leaks. Door sills and door jams have been kept detailed.Gorilla lug-locks installed.I'll still drive it to work during the auction so a few miles will be added.I have two driver keys, and I made two emergency valet keys that I'll includeI have owner's manual, owner's folder, and receipts. This is the last FULL year model with the 5.9L Cummins before Dodge went with the more unreliable 6.7L. This is the last model that is not suffocated by EPA requirements. No exhaust modifications. Still quiet and very smooth for a Cummins. REGISTRATION STICKER GOOD UNTIL 2015. IMPERFECTIONS: I think the tinted windows could be better. Bubble on passenger side and rear glass. The old man who bought the truck new told me that a lady ran into him when the truck was still new. She hit the truck's front driver tire. No major damage. I think the carfax shows one minor incident and this is it. I have looked and I can't tell a difference. It's a non-issue. The backup camera must have a bad connection. The image has static. Easily fixed with a new cable Small scuff on front bumper (see picture) You will not find a cleaner MegaCab with only 69k miles. DO NOT MISS OUT. It sounds silly, but I really want it to go to a good home. And, to someone who will appreciate how great she is. I must sell for my deployment and a job change. It kills me to sell it. Adult driven and maintained. This truck was over $50,000 new. I have personally invested over $10,000. Look at the pictures closely. This truck looks even better in person. People stop me everywhere I go. I hate to sell it. A dealer suggested I ask $38,000 since these MegaCab 5.9 Cummins are so rare. This MegaCab is meant for someone who wants a quality truck that will last.
Email if you have any questions. I have the truck listed locally if you want to come by and drive it. It won't last long. First buyer with $34,800 gets it.
