Up for sale is my 1966 Chevrolet pick up truck. This truck started its life as a long bed and was turned into a short bed during the construction of the vehicle. The truck sits on a 1998 Chevrolet 1500 truck frame and has all the drive train. basically you have the look of a old truck with the convenience and comfort of a newer truck. So this old truck has the powerful Vortect engine, Modern transmission, power steering, front disc brakes, AC heater and even the modern looking dash that came in the 1998 chevy. The truck was just painted a midnight green at a local body shop. I would give the paintjob a 8.5 out of 10 maybe a 9 after it gets wet sanded and buffed out. The grill and bumper were re chromed along with some of the trim. The lenses and bezels are new with the exception of the reverse light bezels witch were re chromed. All the glass is in good condition and the front windshield is new. The weather moldings are also new all trough out the truck. The gas tank was re located and is no longer inside the driver compartment, access is used on the driver side near the door. The truck also has a fresh interior that includes new carpet, floor mats, kick panels with new speakers, door panels, split seats and the dash was re covered and some parts painted.. looks nice. I understand some people like the original dash (I am One of them) but the truck came this way so I did the best with what I had. If you are looking for a ready truck to take to the car show or to take for a cruse this is the one for you. All you got to do is turn the key and go, I already filled up the gas tank! The truck sits on brand new 20 inch wheels and tires. The truck was lowered in the front using drop spindles to give it that lowrod look. The truck runs good and currently has no mechanical problems that I know about. With that said, I cannot guarantee that this truck will run this good for ever, so I encourage for you to come see it, take it to a mechanic or do anything else you need to before you purchase it.
