Vehicle Detail
Here is a 1998 Chevy Blazer that has had a Solid axle swap. The original axles were removed and rebuilt Dana 44s installed. The rear axle is from a Isuzu Rodeo. It has a posi unit with 4.10 gears and disk brakes. The front axle is from a Jeep Wagoneer, no posi, 4.10 gears, stainless Mile Marker hubs and disk brakes. This truck stops great! The body is in good condition. There is some rust starting on the rockers and some small dings here and there. The BFGoodrich tires are new ($1000 worth).Rims are 15x10 solid aluminum, they look bad but clean up really well. Cowl induction hood from Goodmark Inc. Custom one off wheel flares and stainless nerf bars. The bad. Water pump went out late last summer as did the transfer case motor. The front spring have started to sag and the tires are getting a bit close to the fenders now.AC looses charge every winter. Once charged it will last all summer. The oil lines drip a bit. Every blazer out there has or needs these replaced, just a bad design. I was going to install the oil filter on the engine but that never happened.I think that's it.All of these could be fixed in a weekend.I have too many projects and not enough time.Wife says it has to go. The swap was done in 2007 and was driven every day until last summer. I towed a 20' boat 200 miles every other weekend in the summers and a 18' car trailer. It always did a great job. This is sold as is, NO WARRANTY, FIXER UPPER. This truck is 16 years old, with normal were and tear. I make no suspension warranty. That is for you to inspect. *******Update********* I started and drove the truck the other day and found some stuff. Since it has been sitting since last summer the bake disks have rusted badly and may need replaced, seem to stop differently (not as quickly as it used to). The fuel gauge is pegged to full and the low fuel light is on (I know it is low on fuel). Not sure why the gauge just now started do this but it is and you should know. It started right up and I ran it up and down the road with no issues (other than those above). Water pump leaks from the 10 or so bolts that hold the rear cover on the pump, you can see it dripping from underneath. Unless you plan on fixing the water pump on the road you will need a flat bed truck to pick this up. Please ask questions. On Apr-04-14 at 19:44:12 PDT, seller added the following information: I just noticed that I stated the tires are new. It should have read tires are newer. I will understand if you want to remove your bids. They are newer with 90-95% tread. I am an honest person and I wouldn't want someone thinking the truck will have "brand new tires with the nubs still on them with perfect white letters". They are nice tires that I paid $1000. Thanks again.
