We bought this Mercedes after traded to dealer in Kentucky because we were picking up 1969 Firebird going to Florida and thought Florida would be a good home for this convertible. This Mercedes 450SL has low mileage 84k and is in good running condition that we look for with our Muscle cars. We were told it was daily driver for retired 84 yr old rural doctor in Kentucky. This is not a $15,000 show car but solid low miles Sunday or Daily Driver Mercedes Convertible for less than a Toyota with 84k miles. I have driven this car for few months while waiting on title and the engine is very strong very fast and paint and interior are excellent. I even had thoughts of keeping for myself a few times. The front bushing in control arms or ball joints and bushing in steering rack need replacing as recommended by Mercedes tech. We did not have time to wait for ordered parts so bushing were NOT replaced before driving to Florida. This is a very nice solid car both mechanically and cosmetically. With some small repairs this would feel at home at any car show or as a daily driver.
