Vehicle Detail
The newly redesigned Camaro for 1982 was one of the most aerodynamic cars of its time and was awarded Motor Trend magazine "Car of the Year" honors. It later would also be chosen to pace the 66th running of the Indianapolis 500 on May 30,1982This commemorative edition pace car was purchased June 4,1982 by John and Mary Hill and daughter Kim Schmitz of Lawson,MO from Jim Nolker Chevrolet in Plattsburg, MO. It listed for $14,788.74, with $3390.48 of that being optional equipment. A total of 6360 Pace Cars were built.Daughter Kim has been the caretaker of the car the past several years with the passing of her father, and ill health of her mother. It has a total of 26,973 miles to date. Has been meticulously maintained and always in a climate controlled environment. All original paperwork, window sticker, owners manual, both sets of original keys and the original key tag, T-Top covers, floor mats, etc are present. It has never been titled anywhere but Missouri and has a complete title history as well as car fax documentation. The car has never had any type of paint or body damage, and shows very minimal wear associated with 32 years of existence.Truly a collectible automobile that will continue to appreciate. Reserve has been set low as the car is ready for a new owner.I can help arrange shipping at your expense, or feel free to fly into Kansas City and have a fun, enjoyable ride home.On Mar-26-14 at 14:46:24 PDT, seller added the following information: To answer some questions. The paint on the car is extremely nice and shines as new. The interior is also very nice. It has had the tires replaced with the original style Goodyear Eagle GT and have the receipt. The air blows cold and everything works with the exception of the power antenna. The car runs and drives very nice and is not in need of anything. The T-Tops were rarely ever off the car, so the fit and sealing of them is excellent.
