Background: This car was purchased from the original owner in 2011. It has not been licensed since then. He did not need this car anymore because he was taking a job in NY City and did not want to deal with the cost of parking. The car needed a catalytic converter. Our only intention was to replace the catalytic converter and immediately sell the car. We replaced both catalytic converters and found that there was a problem with the engine. There was an actuator on the end of the camshaft that is supposed to adjust the physical position of the cam, but it was defective. Because we did not know the cause of the actuator failure and did not want to risk the same problem recurring, we found a good used engine and replaced the original engine. The work was done by an experienced mechanic. Since then, we replaced one of the coil packs, because the code reader indicated that it needed to be replaced. All four rotors were replaced this year in preparation for selling this car because they had rusted. Exterior: There are some chips in the paint along the front of the hood. The window trim on the back doors shows surface rust. There is a small hole in the lower front bumper. Other than those blemishes, the car looks good. Interior: The interior is in very good condition with virtually no signs of wear. The driver side floor mat is the most worn inside component with the other three mats in nearly new condition.
