This Beetle was recently traded into our dealership for a newer VW. It's a 1968 Beetle with the 1.5L engine, vinyl seats, and it has a CD player, and aftermarket wheels. The Beetle is driver quality, and starts while cold easily, and runs without fuss or hesitation. The transmission shifts through the gears without crunches or anything to indicate synchro issues, the clutch grabs and holds fine even on inclines, and the engine pulls well from idle to high rpm without surging, or any flat spots in the power band. Engine runs well without smoking on acceleration or on deceleration. Being an older unrestored car, there are a couple of little issues. There are some paint flaws in the hood, slight surface rust around the fuel filler door, the front wheels rub at full lock, and the interior carpet is loose in spots, and worn. If you're looking for a solid driver quality Beetle that presents well, and would make a good basis for a rolling restoration, this is the Beetle for you.
