Vehicle Detail
I discovered this car sitting in a southern california barn a couple of years ago. It had been sitting since 1992 so would need lots of work but i was drawn to the unique color, the california blue plates, and the fact it had no rust or damage. I applied for the Porsche COA and was very happy to find it all matching with the car so i went ahead and slowly worked on getting it up and running. The engine had water damage and wear in the cylinders so i had the entire top end redone. New pistons/cyls, all heads fully rebuilt, fresh Zenith carbs and an all new fuel system. New clutch etc. It now runs great again. The trans was untouched and works fine. The brakes were all seized up so i sent the calipers out to be re cad plated and rebuilt, I also had the master cylinder and all the lines renewed. It is now a very respectable driver quality car NOT a restored show winner. On Mar-19-14 at 01:07:20 PDT, seller added the following information: Lots of questions and requests for more pics so i'll try and cover the most popular here. No rust on the undercarriage or body. All the pans are original never welded and still factory undercoated. The only rust i ever found was in the bottom of the drivers headlight bucket. The paint is NOT the original finish but is a repaint of the factory leaf green color this car was delivered in.. There is a chip on leading edge of gas door surround but nothing else of note. I checked all the numbers on the car match the COA. I do not have any real history with the car. It just came with some old registration cards back to the 80's and the factory manual. I have had over 20 requests to show the car which i can't possibly deal with. The best i can say is bid to win and if you don't like the car in person you don't have to buy it.
