1960 CADILLAC - PARADE CONVERTIBLEShe's Big - She's Blue - She's Beautiful! Just out of 8 year storage and underwent a major transformation from a 4 door hardtop to a 4 door convertible without a top. Although it still needs a lot - like paint, tires, attention to brakes, exhaust and possibly more.I just had a good friend from the local old car club bring a battery and auxiliary gas tank over and started the engine so that's good news. Now someone needs to finish getting it road worthy.Some of its potential consists of - late model Cadillac Leather seats (electric but not wired) and new carpet. Most of the lights and turn signals work, radio plays, blower works, power windows work but are disconnected at the switches and power locks are also disconnected to avoid unnecessary use. Also has electric trunk opener, cruise control and automatic headlight dimmers.Odometer shows a meager 67,612 miles, may or may not be accurate. No battery in the car. Had some rust in the front floor boards and has patch panels overlayed and screwed in place. The rear floor boards and trunk are rust free and very solid. Has lots of excellent chrome inside and outside with only minor pitting and some dull spots, but all very straight. Had one repaint many years ago with some signs of lower paint bubbling. The clear coat is lifting in places and difficult to see in the pictures. The drivers door window is cracked but all others are excellent. The usual cracks are present in the padded dash. AC compressor is currently off the car and in a box (goes with car). The tires are very old and need replaced.It will make a gorgeous one of a kind parade convertible (no top) when finished. It's well on it's way but can use a little help which it greatly deserves.
