Up for auction is a 1947 Chevrolet 3100 5 window pickup. No engine or transmission is included in this auction. This truck is tubbed with a ladder bar, coil over rear suspension with a 9 inch Ford housing ,I'm unsure of what the gear ratio is. It has a 74 model Nova front subframe suspension with A-arm forward steering and disc brakes. Front frame will need some work to mount front end body supports, such as core support and bumper brackets. Cab has some rust in front cowl where front fenders bolt to cab on both, passenger and drivers side. Both front and rear fenders are fiberglass and in very good condition. The grill and front bumper are chrome and in very good condition. There is no rear bumper included with this truck. The rims are WELD Draglites. The rear has approx. 15x15s with Mickey Thompson 33x19.50s, the fronts are approx. 15x6s with 205/75 R15 radials. All glass is good except for passenger side door glass, it has a crack. The doors have the vent glass which are not period correct for a 47 model. The paint is not perfect, with some light prep work it can be resprayed to your desired color or scuff it down and go for that patina look. The interior is in need of restoring. There is no seat,headliner or door panels. The bedside panels,tail panel, and head board are custom made of heavy gauge steel and look and fit very good. The bed bottom is black painted aluminum and fits and looks very good. There is a 10 gallon fuel cell mounted in the rear of the truck between the frame rails under the bed. This truck is solid for its age. A lot of work has been done so far. With some minor fabrication, installation of a drivetrain this will make someone a very nice street rod, rat rod, cruiser.
