Vehicle Detail
1957 Chevy 210 Hardtop This car was built by me and I'll be straight up about it; It is NOT OPERABLE at this point. Why? Because I decided to upgrade to power rack and pinion steering, tilt wheel, and power brakes. The parts are new and still in the box. I started disassembling only those systems and ran into a problem with the headers interfering with the steering shaft. That was 1 year ago and I have since lost interest in the car and it has become a garage queen. Being a professional upholsterer and doing cars and jets for people like Metallica, Neiman Marcus, The Godfather Cadillac, high end Pebble Beach work, etc, you can be assured the interior is done tastefully and with the best materials. The engine was built by Fosters racing and has incredible power for a small block. The body and paint is described by the pictures. The house of colors pearl paint has been on the car now for 8 years and since then the car has picked up 3-5 tiny scratches and chips. I keep the car high on a lift to prevent any future problems. Although the car is 95% complete, I took it to two car shows and won best custom and class. It was also picked for a model shoot with 10 gorgeous girls. Not bad for the short time I had it running. All 500 miles worth. 327 CI 4 speed 202 canted plug heads, high rise, holly 750 double pumper, high lift cam, gear drive, 10 to 1 compression, 3/4 shorty headers 2 1/2" dual exhaust through spin tech mufflers, all internals balanced, less than 500 miles on engine and transmission, aluminum 4 row radiator, 411 rear end ratio, brand new power rack and pinion steering, and chrome tilt column. Pearl Sunrise paint over a body that had been striped to bare metal and all minor rust removed and new metal welded in. It has a custom fire wall, frenched antennas, bull-nosed hood, Enos wire harness and circuit box. 18 and 20" coy wheels. It has fine Italian leather, suede, and Porsche carpet. Banjo steering wheel and Custom wood grain art. Has new glass and original rechromed frames. The trunk is painted but not upholstered. The driver and passenger door windows were never installed. This is a rare 210 hardtop with no accessories at all. They made less of these cars than convertibles. I installed a large electrical box to accommodate future accessories, like air conditioning, entertainment, power windows, etc . A word of advice, when an opportunity offers itself and knocks once, don't snooze or you'll loose out. The bid is set at $35,000.00 no reserve! A very realistic price for somebody who knows 57s and the time and money it takes to build one. For additional pictures of the car, please click here Video below for more detail. Happy Bidding!
