1966 Dodge Monaco 500 is a rust free, garage kept, original and documented <50,900 mile Colorado car that has been professionally restored to original show quality condition and is offered at NO RESERVE!! My opening bid is far less than the NADA book value. The first year and rare for 1966, 440 V-8 has been rebuilt and has an RV (3/4) cam and lifters, with less than 450 miles on the work. The 727 auto transmission has been rebuilt with less than 200 miles on the work. The alternator is new and the radiator has been re-cored. The engine runs strong, the transmission shifts smoothly and neither makes any funny noises. The exhaust is throaty and rumbles with a slight lope from the cam, like it should. The engine bay is clean, but could use some touchup for show. The original stickers are in place, but would need replacing for show. They ARE original, so the choice will be yours. The brakes have been worked on and everything that needed attention has been completed in the past 100 miles. All lights and gauges, inside and out are working properly, including the newer Jensen radio/tape deck. The console mounted tachometer and the factory a/c are inop, but the clock has a new quartz movement and keeps perfect time with minimal battery drain. The car has been repainted the original yellow color, the finish is free of “orange peel” and is in excellent shape. The glass is good, the hubcaps are very nice, the lenses are in good shape, with a new rear left inner taillite lens on the trunk lid. The chrome is in very good shape, as is the pot metal and stainless. The tires have good tread and will not need replacing any time soon. This stunning vinyl interior has been professionally restored with less than 50 miles on the work, with everything correct and new except the carpet, which is in excellent shape. The seats are patterned exactly like the original design and I asked the upholstery shop to add the yellow piping to the seats and yellow trim to the doors and quarter panels. The color exactly matches that of the exterior yellow paint. The original rattan wicker trim was all gone when I bought the car and unavailable to me, so I chose what you see. Everyone who sees it loves it. I hope you will like it, too……. A trunk full of spare parts is included, including the BUILD SHEET, a new top quality light beige car cover and a spare tail lite tens, plus an original shop manual, an owner’s manual, all kinds of paperwork regarding the overhaul and more parts. I believe the car to be 100% roadworthy and, if you wish, I'll personally deliver it to your doorstep anywhere in the lower 48.
