1976 HONDA CB550F FOUR A very original low milage 1976 Honda CB550F in very good condition. The bike has been garaged kept & is extremely clean for it's age. We did a basic clean up, but did not spend hours to make it look this way. It's been well maintained over the years & stored correctly. The chrome is not pitted or rusted. The wheels, fenders, grab rail, headlight mounts, handlebars & engine covers are extremely clean. The paint is OEM Orange. There is a few scratches on the tank, but nothing other than normal wear on a 38 year old motorcycle. The bike runs very well.We invested over $500 into the carburetors by having them professionally cleaned/rebuilt & set to factory settings. The original air box is complete. I believe the bike has an exhaust leak, we do have a set of OEM gaskets, but have not had time to install them. There is a ticking sound when cold, but it goes away once warmed up. Has the usual clutch noise every 70's Honda has. The bike runs well & shifts without issues. The electrics seem fine. The harness is not cut in any way, very original. Also we have installed a new battery along with NGK spark plugs & a fresh oil/filter change. We replaced the on/off switch with a NOS Honda switch. The only difference from the original is the on/off switch itself is a magenta color compared to the original red. Issues I see worth mentioning is a tear in the original seat cover. The lower fork legs had a small amount of corrosion, looks as if someone tried to clean them up but left some scratches. A few scratches on the tank, but no dents or dings. One mirror is missing & the throttle grip itself could stand to be replaced. Also some small scratches on the OEM muffler. The bike is very above average in my opinion & I have seen my share of bikes over the years. Its very difficult to find one this original that has not been restored & this one hasn't. It isn't perfect, but again it's well above average. Also it was #45 off the production line in 1976. Please email with any questions you may have. Local pick up is available.
