1966 Other Makes Moto Morini 60cc Twister

This item is being sold with no reserve. This is an auction for a very rare 60cc Moto Morini Twister built in 1966. The Twister was the model sold for export to the US. The model sold in Italy was the smaller 50cc Corsarino. The Corsarino is extremely popular in Italy and even has its own owners' clubs. I did some research and I don't think there can possibly be more than 2 or 3 Twisters in better condition anywhere in the world. There might actually be none. You will need to go way out of your way to ever see another one. Research it yourself. You just won't find them. I found this item in a barn with very low miles. It had been used in the past only to drive down a long driveway to the mailbox. It is complete and in decent shape for its age. I originally intended to have it fixed up in a local repair shop and ride it in the Moto Giro but the Maine mechanics don't seem well equipped to deal with a Moto Morini from 1966. I did have one at least agree to take a look at it and he's pretty sure that all it needs to run is a new condenser and the tank cleaned. Since I am not mechanically inclined, I am regretfully letting this go for a fraction of what I have invested in it. The condenser has been removed, the bike was reassembled, and the part strapped to the handlebars so you will know what part you need to buy and replace. It's in decent shape for its age with all original equipment, including the original Pirelli tires and the original toolbox and tools. It has some light rusting in spots, a small dent in the tank, and it's missing the key that locks the front wheel. It's currently in the unlocked position. The key has nothing to do with starting the bike. This bike is being sold with a bill of sale and is located near Portland, Maine.
