Thanks for looking at my Defender for sale ** It IS A 1988, but the ebay robot will not allow the European VIN so I had to indicate '1980' ** First let me tell you that I bought this a few months ago in England, and I had it shipped back to me here in Portland Oregon- IT IS IN THE USA NOW! I am not another guy selling a truck he does not own, or have here in the country yet. IF you are able, I encourage you to come and see/ drive the truck to be sure you will be happy with what you may be buying. I am the legal owner however and have the proper ownership documents in hand now. I have brought in many trucks this year already (check my feedback - many happy buyers!) and am familiar with the import process, and can even get the Oregon title for you if you prefer for the DMV costs. Truck is current box-stock with gasoline 4-cylinder 2.5L engine. Very nice Civilian Station Wagon. Can be converted to 200tdi / 300tdi here at my shop in Portland if you like. Message me for details if you are interested. I stock Defender turbo-diesel engines and specialize in these conversions. Now - onto the truck for sale here: This is a very original and nice 1988 Gasoline 5-speed Defender 90 CSW. Has only 115,000 original miles! Removable hard-top convertible, body is in very nice condition as shown in the pictures here. Paint is a bit faded here and there, and one door has some rust at the door bottom, which is very common with these trucks. Frame is absolutely solid and requires no repairs. Interior looks great, as does truck overall. As you can see, there are many add accessories like the diamond plate fender protectors, snorkel kit, Engine has been upgraded with a Weber carburetor, has a CD player/ stereo, seats are very nice. Interior looks greast, and if you know these trucks at all you may have noticed that it is difficult to find one here in the USA in this price range that looks this nice. In person, the paint looks a bit more faded here and there, and there is a spot of rust at the bottom of one of the A-pillars, at the base of the bulkhead. Nothing major, but I want to reveal all the uglies! I also have a soft-top kit for this truck here too, as well as a PTO winch if the buyer would like this to look even tougher. These items can be found in my other auctions, or message me for more details. Truck starts on the button and goes down the road very nicely. Comfortable to drive, and gasoline 4-cylinder is very quiet and economical. NO LEAKS at all. Shifts very smoothly and brakes feel perfect! Steering is very tight. Tires are good- Alloy wheels look very nice. EVERYTHING works on the truck - heater, fan, all lights, windows, etc. Truck looks very nice and drives very nice too. I have a 200tdi or 300tdi engine kit here at my shop already, and can swap engines out for the high bidder for about $6800 on top of the winning bid if you like. Message if interested.
