Here's a video of the truck in action:http://youtu.be/yAjUQqK3l3s I have a recently restored 1966 GMC for sale. The truck is gorgeous, and brings smiles and waves wherever I take it. It is my current daily driver and is in a good state of tune; you could drive it anywhere. I bought this truck from a fellow who found it on his property when he bought it. The previous owner had begun the restoration, including the paint, but unfortunately hadn't gotten to finish and drive it. I couldn't stand to see it go to waste so I greedily snatched it up and finished cleaning it up so I could putt around in it. Unfortunately for me and the truck, we just had a new baby daughter, so I don't think I get to keep it. The truck has a big block 305 v6 engine that is incredibly torquey and smooth. It has true dual exhaust and is muffled well enough to not be onboxious, but still make a pleasant low idle sound. I recently replaced the original carburetor with another of the same type, as the original was worn excessively. I also put in a new master cylinder because I didn't want to fool with trusting a fifty year old one to keep pressure and water out. There are seat belts in the truck, although I have them tucked back behind the seat. I'm a bad human, I know. The truck is original condition as far as driveline; four speed on the floor, with granny gear. This translates into a top speed of around 75 MPH due to gearing. If you were so inclined you could put more highway gearing in the rear end, but my commute is only about fifteen miles so I never felt the need to. I scraped the wood bed and oiled it so it should be ready for the next few years of service. The tires are certainly drivable but will need replacement in the next year and a half or so. There's some scratching on the driver's side glass, and a small scratch under the mirror mount on the door. Neither are noticable without hunting. All lights work as they should. Feel free to call me at 801-319-7046 or email me at combustionco@gmail.com with any questions. I would love to answer any of them, or just shoot the breeze about the old truck. I kinda love it. I have the truck for sale on a local site as well, so if someone brings cash to me from that I'll pull the auction. On Jan-29-14 at 13:40:26 PST, seller added the following information: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yAjUQqK3l3s
