1958 Dodge D100 Pickup This is a older restoration, about 1999. The truck started its life as a Goverment Contract purchase for a School District in Eastern Rensselaer County, New York. The truck served the school from June 1958 to June 1977. It was then sold on the lawn of the school during the summer of 1977. The truck was purchased by a local man and stored until 1999. In 1999 the truck went through an off frame restoration. The truck was completed in late 2002. The owner then drove it locally to car shows and various meets. In late 2006, the owner passed away suddenly. I purchased from his widow in July of 2007. I have driven it to several local car shows in the Albany, NY area. The truck is a Flat Head 6 Cylinder, with 4 speed (1st Gear is a granny gear) on the floor, short box with wooden bed. Starts, runs and drives. The only issue at the moment, is the left rear wheel cylinder is weeping and sticks, easy fix. The paint needs to be buffed out, has various water spots. The wooden bed could also be replaced or the wood be refinished with a fresh coat of polyurethane. Easy restoration. To many toys and not enough time. The steering wheel shown in one of the photos has been removed, and the factory wheel installed. Vehicle is located in East Greenbush, NY off I-90 just east of Albany, NY. Pick up only. FREE!
