Up for auction is... This wonderfully maintained 1981 Celica Sunchaser GT Great running little car, needs some TLC and body work to be awesome! (*women and driver in picture not included in this auction... lol) JUST to get an interior this nice would run $2500!!! Someone will get a great car! REMEMBER ITS ONLY ORIGINAL ONCE, ORIGINAL PAINT, INTERIOR and GRAPHICS Sorry but I have no idea what the LC Edition stands for or WHO, but it was an option! I have had this car since 2011, and know of no other damage or issues from the previous owner, OTHER than the left rear taillight being backed into by the previous owners own car. (I pounded it out and replaced the light) but it needs to be done properly & repainted. The car has aged a little since that detailing, and has more miles (74.495 as of this lising) Pictures are a mixture of the 2008 pics and current pics as it sits today! I believe to be the original miles based on the earlier pics, (I probably have put 2000 miles on it.) Plus it blowing a head gasket a little bit after being purchased back in 2008! (fixed correctly now!) Interior is everybit as nice as it was years ago (better as I fixed the tear in the seat) but this does need a detailing to get the shine back to those John Fike pictures! Everything is a little dirtier but it cleans up very nice! Its winter so I am not detailing it, lol My BUY IT NOW is WAY less than what I have in it! (close to $5500) and the reserve is even below that!!! So here is a deal waiting for someone! OK, SINCE my purchasing of this wonderful car, (12-2011) see pic of payment by me I have had a couple things done to this to make it better. After having the head gasket replaced (along with everything needed to get it running properly) New battery, alignment, anything it needed it got at that time. ($1500 worth of stuff) I had a Stainless Steel OBX Header installed for better mpg and horsepower! Clutch is tight, and 5-speed shifts smoothly thru all gears, reverse is perfect (I've even chirped 3rd gear!) A small tear in the drivers seat was repaired correctly at my upholsterers... Rear window plastic was replaced by me last summer (top was ok) and I last month I replaced the Targa weatherstripping (sold on one of my other auctions for $150) so this is very close to how it left the factory back in 1981! NOW LOOK AT ALL THE FEATURES and OPTIONS THIS CAME WITH!!! Try and get a CONVERTIBLE TOYOTA for less than my reserve! AND in this condition! I am selling this as I am moving to a smaller house and do not have room for ALL my toys, and this one is a sunny day driver and needs to be finished up. Paint appears to be original as the LC Edition stickers look original from to rear. but NOTE, the paint is 33 years old, please don't expect a show car paint job! The tail light repair area needs to be cut out and a new replacement rear piece welded in as it does have some rust in that area (I do not know of any other places of rust) but the trunk lid should be fine, only the corner fender will need work and repaint. This IS a TOYOTA, and the reliability of the 22R is legendary! I would not hesitate to drive this across the USA!
