This Elantra starts right up and will drive down the road but needs some work. It could make a good car for someone once a few things get fixed. The Carfax report does show an accident in 2002 with minor dmg.

First of all, it overheats. During the 20 minutes we were taking pictures, it did not overheat, but if driven down the road it will overheat.

Mechanical issues with this vehicle INCLUDE, but are NOT limited to the following problems: The car overheats. It uses coolant... unknown as to whether this is from a leak or burning or headgasket or cylinder head issue... or something else. We were unable to do a pressure test of the cooling system due to the radiator cap area being melted/warped.

The check engine light is ON, and the engine cooling fan is on constantly. The fuel cap is missing.

Due to ice and snow, we were unable to check the power windows. The wipers do work. We were also unable to test the air conditioning. The fan knob is broken and laying in the cubby.

The front tires have very good tread, but the rears are only in fair to good condition. The battery appears newer, but we do not know this for sure.

Cosmetic/Body issues:The interior is in average condition for the year and miles. The seats are worn, as you can see in the pictures. The center console is broken, as shown. The driver door power window switch bezel is loose, as shown. There is no owner's manual. At a quick glance the windshield did not appear broken. The fuse panel door stays open.

In the pictures you can also see numerous areas of heavy rust (all around vehicle) and peeling paint (at least the hood, trunk lid, and front and rear bumpers... it was hard to judge the rest of the car due to a wet vehicle and weather conditions). The driver's fender also has body damage, as shown. The rear bumper cover is screwed on. The hood has rumples in it, and a dent. The passenger side fender has a small crease at the front of it. And you can additionally see many other issues.

**This vehicle may also have numerous dents, dings, scratches, and gouges on other parts of the body.
