Vehicle Detail
1967 Volkswagen Bus 11 Window This is your opportunity to own a unique split window Volkswagen Bus originally restored by an auto enthusiast in California for himself. Less than 18,000 miles on restoration. It was featured in Dune Buggies and Hot VW’s magazine. It is the very desirable walk-thru Bus. Exterior Beautiful paint, in custom two tone combination, Indigo Blue and Arctic White. The dash, package tray and engine compartment all received new paint too. The Bus is accented with lots of chrome, including: · chrome bumpers · chrome pop-out window frames · chrome cab door window frames · chrome shifter stem in the cab · chrome emergency brake lever · chrome steering column-to-dash mount · chrome deck lid hinges · chrome VW emblem on the front of the bus The bus rides on a set of aluminum Flat-4 BRM wheels. The spare is even mounted on a matching Flat-4 BRM wheel. Interior Interior includes custom headliner, door panels, carpet, and seat upholstery, all color coordinated through out. The interior is gray pile carpet, grey seats and two tone interior panels. Front seat safety belts are installed and functional. The steering wheel was restored by Koch’s and BFY rebuilt the speedometer. All window locks, felt and rubber are in good condition. Drivetrain An improved 1776 cc dual port engine was built for the restoration. Moving parts of the engine were balanced and blueprinted by Gene Berg. A freeway flyer transaxle allows highway cruising at speeds of 65-70 miles per hour. The drivetrain build included: a dual port engine; 69 mm Gene Berg counterweighted crank; magnafluxed glass-beaded connecting rods; Berg swivel foot valve adjusters; Berg 80,000 psi pushrods; Cima/Mahle pistons; Berg 1.5 quart oil sump; Berg equalizer degreed pulley; Kennedy 1700 lb. clutch; Berg dual friction disc; Harold Carter-built freeway flyer transaxle with a 3.88:1 ring and pinion. Electrical 12 volt system upgraded to a modern alternator. All lights work properly. Unbelievable sound system includes an in-dash Pioneer AM / FM stereo receiver and a 12 disc Pioneer CD changer under the rear seat. In the rear there is a speaker box with two 12 inch woofers, four 5 ½ inch mid ranges, four 1 ½ inch tweeters.
