THE STORYI have been into old motorcycles my whole life,and had a vintage bike shop for 25yrs..the story of this bike is a familiar one .This is Buddy's bike,everyone knows a guy like buddy.He visits the shop 8-10 times a year,,always finds your new location,and arrives with coffee every time.,always sends the Shop a post card from Hawaii during the holiday's..Knows every obscure motorcycle made and can describe the unique details of each bike that made it special from all the rest.I never knew buddy's real name,and when his wife called me SHE called him buddy...He would always say that he was going to bring his Triumph down to the shop to get it REALLY tuned in,,but he always had several things he was finishing on it first..he said when he finally found a bathtub rear body unit,,he would bring it down and have me go over the whole bike..that never happened,he would start it every month or so but never had it tagged,so he never rode it since 1976,i never saw the bike until recently... buddy had stopped coming so much year after year,,and then it seemed like 2 or 3 years since id seen him,,so i looked in my phone book from pre cell phone days and found his number,,he wife said buddy had died 4 years ago.. she said she tried to call me then,, but my number was from a card from 20yrs ago that buddy had taped under his seat.i never got a title,the family couldnt find it.i can provide notorized bill of sale..Long story short,she tried to give me the bike but i ended up giving her more money than i should have... that was 5 yrs ago and ive done nothing with the bike,,so its up for sale. dont be a Buddy,,get this bike and RIDE it.
