Other options include a delay switch for dome, a headlight warning buzzer, an under the hood light, a low fuel warning light, interior courtesy lights, color keyed floor mats, intermittent windshield wipers and RH visor vanity mirror. A brief history is as follows: 1978 was the 25th anniversary of Corvette. To celebrate a completely re-designed body was rolled out with new "fastback" styling. The new wrap-around rear window provided much more space behind the seats but was not a hatchback. Access to the storage space is still accessed from behind the seats. All Corvettes this year came with special 25th anniversary badging. This car is one of the cleanest original corvettes i have ever seen of this year, This is was Garage kept it's whole life and would make a Collectors dream car. I purchased This car from the Original owner (my grandfather) who purchased this car brand new in 1978 kept it in his garage and only drove it to church on sunday and special occasions. He only sold it to me due to buying a the new stingray corvette, the car was never smoked in and was babied. I have owed and driven many corvettes and this one is a true rare find and gem. I am not sure what it is worth, that is why i am selling at a no reserve, I just purchased a new home so I have to sell the car. (Never driven in rain, snow, or kept outside) DRIVETRAIN: Correct Matching Numbers 350 V8 The Engine is very smooth running, AMAZING! fires right up every time and is a very reliable car i have driven it on a few several hundred mile trips and wouldn't hesitate to drive this car cross country. For being a 350 V8 4 barrel automatic it is surprisingly good on fuel, The transmission is so smooth you can barley feel it shift gears. The car was always serviced on time and was never neglected like most of these corvettes. This car doesn't leak or burn any fluids either, the brakes work great the stops on a dime. This car runs and drives better then some new Corvettes i have driven. BODY: Exterior of this Corvette is in excellent condition, the fiberglass, panels and paint are all original and in excellent condition. The paint shines like new and is in great shape other then a few small minor scratches on the rear hatch see PICS..... Other then that this car is very presentable, the fiberglass is not cracking and the body seems are straight as an arrow. This car was never in any kind of accident, hot rodded or neglected in anyway. Anyone that sees the car is always surprised of it's condition at car shows........a solid 9 INTERIOR: Interior is in great shape, original Interior, carpet and Upholstery. Looks and smells great! Very clean and well taken care of car, non smoker owned. i Would honestly rate this interior as a solid 9 or even 10 for the year of this car. Overall this is a amazing Corvette, that deserves a good home you can get in this car turn the key and go! needs nothing at all, The Tires are in excellent shape almost new. The Ac works and has been converted to the R34, Heat works great! The Atrack Radio even works i also even have two boxes of tapes to go with it. (These may even be worth money) T Tops do not leak either, All power options are in great working order, original glass, and gauges. All the gauges in this car are all in working condition except the clock. The only issue i have found with this car is one of the headlights only works when it want to. I was told these run of vacuum, i would guess a bad hose. If you play with the switch and hose it will sometimes come up. That is honestly the only flaw i could see, but if you are looking for a Reliable Corvette that needs no work, original matching numbers across the board you can get in and drive everyday if desired, take to car shows and be proud of this is the Corvette for you. Sure you could find one cheaper that needs work, but this one needs nothing! The car will come with 20-30 ATRACK TAPES, FITTED CAR COVER, CLEAN TITLE AND EXTRA SET OF KEYS.
