HAVE RIDDEN THIS BIKE SEVERAL HUNDRED MILES IN THE LAST COUPLE OF WEEKS AND WOULD NOT HESITATE TO TAKE IT ANYWHERE. HAS BEEN COMPLETELY RE-DONE AS CANDY RED NOT OFFERED TIL 1992. WAS ORIGINALLY WINEBERRY (DEEP MAROON) BUT HAD FADING SO DECIDED TO GO WITH THE NEWER COLOR. RE-PAINT PROFESSIONALY DONE. MANY (INCLUDING ME) PREFER THE 1500 TO THE NEWER GL1800 MODEL. THE 1500 HAS A MORE "CUSH" RIDE, MORE STORAGE CAPACITY, A HIGHER RATED LOAD CAPACITY, AND HAD NONE OF THE ISSUES THE 1800'S HAVE HAD. (AND, LOTS LESS COST!!!) SIDE ENGINE PANELS AND REAR CENTER PANELS ARE ORIGINAL CANDY SPECTRA RED ITEMS. SIDE SHELTER PANELS AND LOWER FAIRING PANELS WERE REPAINTED SEPARATELY FROM THE SADDLEBAGS, FAIRING, ETC. DUE TO MY OVERSIGHT WHEN PAINTING PARTS. THESE ARE VERY SLIGHTLY LIGHTER COLOR THAN THE REST OF THE BIKE. YOU MIGHT NOT NOTICE IF YOU'RE NOT REALLY SHARP ON COLOR DIFFERENTIATION BUT DON'T WANT ANY SURPRISES. IT IS STILL A SUPER SHARP LOOKING BIKE AND LOOKS BETTER THAN A LOT OF MUCH NEWER ONES. GOLDWINGS HAVE ALWAYS BEEN KNOWN FOR LONGEVITY AND RELIABILITY AND THE 1500 RAISED THE BAR CONSIDERABLY HERE. MANY 1500'S ARE STILL GOING STRONG WITH 300K, 400K OR MORE MILES WITHOUT OVERHAUL. HAVE ACTUALLY SEEN A COUPLE OVER 500K, NO OVERHAUL. (NO, WON'T GET THAT OUT OF YOUR V-TWIN AIR COOLED HARLEY.) BIKE LOOKS JUST LIKE THE PHOTOS AND HAS GOTTEN COMPLIMENTS WHEREVER I'VE TAKEN IT. HARD TO GET PHOTO THAT SHOWS SLIGHT COLOR DIFFERENCE BUT DID TRY. AS STATED EARLIER, RUNS AND SHIFTS PERFECTLY. NOT EVEN BROKEN IN WITH ONLY 59K MILES. ++++CLEAN CLEAR TITLE ON HAND FOR IMMEDIATE DELIVERY TO NEW OWNER. ++++ CAN SHIP TO MANY SOUTHWEST LOCATIONS FOR $300 OR LESS.
