Edits and Updates: I have had several questions about the truck and some of those details are kind of important that I apparently forgot to mention. Bed Measurement - Length: 12'4, Width: 8 ft. Yes, it dumps.Transmission - 4 speed transmission with 2 speed rear endPower Steering - No power steering. You have to use the armstrong power steering systemTitle - clean and clear Ohio title.GVW - 22,500. That means it is under CDL requirements and anyone with a regular driver's license can drive it. I have added a video that is a pretty in depth walk around of the truck. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ly8DK2p_9Rs Up for bid is a 1969 International Loadstar 1600. I purchased this farm truck a little over two years ago and have been using it as a chip truck for my part time tree service. I don't really want to sell the truck, but I have found one just like it that is four wheel drive and a better fit for my business so this one has to go. Here is the story on the truck: I bought the truck two years ago out of Illinois to replace my other chip truck. It was very clean, and according to the guy I was buying it from, it ran good. Well, it didn't really run good at all, but we'll get to that part in a minute. I am technically the second owner of this truck since the guy I bought it from never had the title in his name. He sank a lot of money into it (tune up, complete brake job, etc.) then he lost heart with the money he was putting into it. When I acquired it, I put a brand new brake booster on it and then drove it all the way from Illinois to Ohio, which is also another story, but we'll skip that. The 304 that was in it got me back to Ohio after using Lucas Oil (which I will swear by forever). After that, it turned into a boat anchor. Here is what I have done to it since I have owned it: Replaced the 304 with a stronger 345, brake booster (already covered that part), replaced the rear tires with some nice grippy 9x20s, pulled the gas tank and had it completely restored, and I have shortened the bed and put a hitch on it so I can haul a chipper or equipment trailer with it if I want to. This is a very versatile truck. You can take the grain sides off and have a flatbed, or you can leave the grain body sides on and haul mulch, topsoil, leaves, wood chippings, etc. I use this truck from about early April to about October-November. It is usually used one or two days a week during that time for my part time tree business as my chip truck. I take good care of it and keep it clean. Once the snow flies, it stays parked because I absolutely refuse to drive it in salt. It really is a nice truck. I get a lot of compliments on it and when I have it in flat bed mode, it is a real pleasure to drive. It does have a true dual exhaust on it with flowmasters so not only does it look good, but it also sounds good. Overall the truck is really nice, and clean. The 345 in it makes good power and gets it up to its happy cruising speed of 55 pretty quick, empty of course. It does dump which is a nice feature and a good wax job (it's due for one) really brings that IH red out. It is an old truck, so it has a couple of issues and here they are:1.The cable that engages the PTO pump is disconnected. It works but you have to crawl under the truck to engage it. It does need to be replaced, but it was one of those things I never got around to doing.2. It has a slight hesitation at the low end of the rpm range once it warms up. This slight hesitation although annoying, has never affected the performance. I suspect it is a carburetor issue since everything else (timing, fuel pump, fuel line, fuel tank) has been gone through and tuned up, repaired, or replaced.3. It looks like the original owner took a wire wheel to both doors in order to remove the name of his farm from the truck. He didn't take it down to bare metal but when you look, you can see it. Personally it has never bothered me, but I don't speak for everyone. Please feel free to come and inspect the truck personally before you bid. I highly encourage this because I think people really should know what they are bidding on. Test drives are also welcome, but you better know how to drive a standard with a split rear end. Other than these three little things, I honestly can't think of anything else. The truck burns very little oil, it looks nice, it's clean, and it's old but it has a lot of versatility and life left in it. The starting bid is reasonable so bid to win. TERMS:Ok, I try to keep things simple so here we go. TRUCK IS PICKUP ONLY. What that means is that you will have to come here and get it. No, I won't ship it or meet you anywhere. You can either come here and I will help you load it if I can, or you can drive it home, although I recommend against driving ANY old truck for more than a few hours. Will it get you home? I have no idea. It should, but from MY experience, you should ALWAYS trailer old vehicles when going long distances. I guess it all depends on your bravery/optimistic outlook on life. PAYMENT:This is the part I REALLY try to keep simple because someone always goofs this up. First of all, if you are a Nigerian Prince, you will not like this truck. In fact, you will hate it, so just don't bid on it, or call me about it ok? The truck needs to be paid for within one week of auction end. I will also require a $200.00 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit from the winning bidder within 24 hours of the auction closing through PayPal. The winning bidder must contact me within 24 hours of the closing of the auction so that we can make arrangements for pickup and payment. I prefer face to face cash transactions. The truck WILL NOT leave my property until payment has been made in full. Miscellaneous:If you need time to arrange shipping for the truck, that is not a problem. I can store it on my property for as long as you need me to, BUT the truck still has to be paid for according to the terms above. Note: The pintle hitch will be removed before the truck leaves. It will be up to the buyer to put a new pintle hitch on the truck. I have done my best to represent this truck as accurately as I can. I have sold several vehicles over the years on Ebay and always had good results from it because I am straight up with people. Read my feedback and if you have any questions, call or text me. Mike - 440-321-0005. This truck is SOLD AS-IS. Non-paying bidders will receive negative feedback and will be reported. Bid with confidence and bid to win.
