1989 BMW E30 M3 for sale. I have had this car for 10 years and would rather see it go to a new owner than sit in storage! Would make a great restoration project or track car. Car was purchased in Atlanta in 2004 ago and was driven occasionally (no winters) until about 5 years ago when I put it in heated storage. This was a southern car (no rust then or now) until I bought it. Since putting it in storage I take it out a few times a year for maintenance and not much else. Starts and runs great, no major issues or accidents that I know of. Full tune-up performed less than 2,000 miles ago by Ianelli Autocars. Tune up included plugs/wires, valve adjustment, fuel injectors, etc. Tires have flat spots in the tires due to sitting in storage so there is some minor vibration, but the car shifts and drives well. While this is a great mechanical example of a well maintained e30 M3, it requires some work to look new again. Paint was faded wen I purchased the car and has some spots where the sun has worn away the clear coat. The are a handful of dings an a small crease in the drivers side door. Paint on the wing (OEM) is cracking. The seams on the seats have begun to pull apart and there are two holes in the headliner from what I assume was a mouse in storage (no other apparent issues). The dash has a few cracks as well. I have made an effort to represent the car in it's current state and it is being sold AS-IS. Bidders are welcome to ask questions or inspect the car prior to purchase. Once bidding is closed you must send a $500 deposit within two days, full payment must be received and CLEARED before pickup or delivery (wire transfer, cash or money order/cashiers check). Buyer must arrange all pickup or delivery details, car is located near Cleveland, OH. Details: -Clean OH title, not currently registered (passed smog last year) -No rust on the body, small amount of very minor surface rust in the spare tire well. -New battery. -Mainly stock, has a chip (iigmotive) and airbox kit. Stock chip included. -BMW lowering springs installed -New OEM muffler about 3 years ago -e36 chain tensioner upgrade -Aftermarket radio -Paint is faded in some spots and car has a few dings (captured in photos) -Paint on wing is cracked in a few spots. -Seats are splitting and need to be recovered/repaired. -Passenger window doesnt work, extra motor included. -Aux fan doesnt seem to come on, may need new thermostat or fan. Car doesnt overheat, but I dont drive it enough to test it. New (spare) radiator included. -AC is not hooked up (belt removed), there was a small leak so I left it disconnected. -Heater blower works but makes a humming noise at full speed, likely needs to be cleaned. -Car currently has 17" e36 rims, OEM basketweave wheels also included.On Nov-11-13 at 08:06:29 PST, seller added the following information: -Car starts and runs well, has an occasional high idle likely due to Idle Control Valve (always had this issue). Spare ICV is included in parts. -Front control arm bushings are centered instead of offset, causing the wheels to sit a little further back in the wheel wells. I think I have the offset bushings in a parts box and will include with the car. As mentioned previously, seats likely need recovering and paint is sun-faded through the clear coat in some spots. This is a project car that could be made to look new or converted for the track!
