Attention all collectors or enthusiasts: This is an ORIGINAL, NUMBERS MATCHING 1969 Chevy C-10 short-bed fleet-side 3 owner truck with great potential for a total restoration or great builder. 82,536 original miles!!! This "diamond in the rough" truck was manufactured in 1969 in Freemont, CA and shipped to Star Chevrolet in Bisbee, AZ. I was told that the first owner was a solider stationed at Fort Huachuca, AZ. He ordered it with the big 292 6-cylinder motor, granny gear 4-speed transmission, heavy duty rear end, factory overload springs, heavy duty radiator, amp/oil gauges. I purchased it from the second owner after it enjoyed a 25-year hiatus. The second owner was a miner in Bisbee, AZ and he added the 16" steel wheels in the rear. Since I have owned this truck I have done the following: Replaced the fuel pump and fuel tank sending unitRebuilt the carburetorCleaned the gas tankBuilt and installed new battery cablesInstalled a Interstate battery (approx 1 year old) Installed new heavy-duty gas charged shocksInstalled new tune-up partsInstalled new air filterInstalled new steering column wiring harnessInstalled new steering wheel & horn buttonInstalled new sun visorsInstalled 4 new Kumho 85K tires, which includes replacement certificates from Discount TiresInstalled new interior door and window handles/cranks with new gasketsInstalled new tail light lenses and all new side marker lensesInstalled new flasher units along with new bulbs.Installed new windshield and windshield rubber seal. With the exception of the tires, windshield, tune up parts, oil/filter, shocks, and carburetor rebuild kit, everything else that I have installed on this truck has come from Brother's Truck parts. The other parts that I mentioned in this ad are also from Brother's Truck parts. FYI - for things that are needed on this truck...Brother's Truck parts has the inner fender skirt (item # IFW7200) for $149.99 plus $50.00 shipping. They also have the outer rocker panel ( item # RPO7200) for $19.99. If you look around eBay you will find these parts at a very reasonable price as well. I was given a quote of $500 to rebuild/recover the front bench seat from a local upholstery shop. Along with the sale of this truck comes a new water pump, new battery tray, new door rubbers, new rubber seals for wing windows, new whiskers and window felt for both door windows. All the glass in the truck is in good condition, NO cracks, bb blisters, spider webs, or chips. I also have in good condition used dash vents and matching paint for the dash that will go with the truck. Other than rust in the driver and passenger side outer rocker panels, toe board on passenger side of cab, and the front of the inner fender well on the passenger side there is NO other rust on this truck other than surface rust ONLY. If you look at the pictures you will see a dent in the driver's side lower door, driver's side fender lip, passenger side rear light housing, and other small dimples in the bed. All in all it is a SOLID truck with great potential. The bench seat needs to be recovered/repaired. Speedometer works and is accurate. Odometer works. Gas gauge, oil pressure gauge, temperature gauge, and amp gauge all work correctly. Two speed windshield wipers also work. Headlights, tail lights, turn signals, emergency flashers, reverse lights, license plate light, and running lights all work. Heater does not work - I do not know if it is as simple as a fuse or ?? All door locks work. This truck has drum brakes that work great, as drum brakes go. This is a simple bare bones, simple to work on, real truck. No power steering, no power brakes, no tilt wheel, no cruise control...The way the drive train in this truck is configured maximum speed is only 50-60 MPH. It starts up and runs well.
