Item description: 1969 Volkswagen Beetle classic. 81,324 miles shown on odometer. Clean California title, Registration expired in 2007 $200 in fees due to DMV in CA. per vehicle registration calculator. Some DMV fees may fall out of system soon due to non registration for almost 7 years. Check with your local DMV. This classic beetle Runs, drives and shifts fine. Parked in 2007 tuned up and fixed to be brought back to life as a driver in 2013. Classic beetles are going for big $$$$ these days because they are easy to work on, smog exempt in CA, great on gas and parts are cheap and readily available. Eligible for classic black/yellow plate registration if you can find a clear set to register with the DMV. NADA value as of "today" in "average condition" is over $6,000! Starting bid $2,999.69! Interior: Very clean with new carpet, new door panels, new rear panels, all seats are in good driver condition as seen in the photos and videos. Doors have new weatherstrip seals . Clutch and brake pedal pads are new. Horn works, Dash has small cracks on top, windshield wiper, speedometer ,lights and gauges, turn signals and emergency brake work fine. Windows roll up and down. A section underneath the passenger seat toward the battery area floorpan has been cut out, welded and replaced with fresh sheet metal as seen in the photos under the VW. Interior 95% complete although the VW Needs a headliner. All three body tags are intact and match the title VIN#. Exterior: Originally this VW was white, Currently the exterior color is two tone red and white and the paint is just a weekend special. "No rust on the exterior body". Body is solid with the exception of imperfect bodywork for the minor dings. NO major filler work only minor! Body is all solid steel except for some imperfect light filler patchwork! This is not a crashed up bug and there is nothing to hide. I list everything that I see for your consideration. Who else can be a straight shooter and take the time to go over these details?Roof is straight and has no damage. All lenses are in very good condition. All window glass is in excellent shape. New windshield rubber seal, both rear quarter windows and the rear glass have all new seals as well. Original trim is in great shape as it has been polished and reinstalled on the VW. VW emblem on hood has also been reinstalled. Headlights, brake lights, license plate light, running lights and turn signals work fine. All 4 tires are new with 95% treadlife remaining. Spare located in front is not new. I Also have the original bumpers in fair condition with the mounting brackets if you want them they are included but you must tell me what to do with them first. I have chosen not to reinstall them as they do not look good on the beetle. I was going to install chrome T-bar bumpers but decided to sell the VW AS-IS. Driver door was overextended at one time so you need to see the videos to understand what I am describing to you. Door locks function with the keys as intended. Two sets of keys are included. Engine: 5550 B436079 with 57hp and appears to be a correct numbers matching engine! Running 1600 single port German pancake engine, fresh oil change, fuel, fuel filter and adjusted valves. Solex H30/31 pict carburetor cleaned out and rebuilt with a kit. Engine does not leak oil or make any strange noises. Unknown miles on engine, sounds great and starts right up. Tuned up with New Bosch spark plugs! Transmission and clutch: Manual 4 speed transmission and clutch function as intended. Gears shift smooth and crisp. Clutch works perfect. Brakes and suspension: 4 wheel drum brakes and e-brake work as intended. Suspension has no known issues as it works as intended. Electrical: Electrical wiring is organized and original or equivalent not all hacked up. Stereo needs to be repaired/replaced there is no power. Has a new AM/FM fender mounted antenna.
