Vehicle Detail
I bought this car with plans to restore it. I removed the engine and transmission and used the overdrive transmission in my almost finished TR4...The engine and a non OD trans are for sale, also on EBay. I've taken off some parts and stripped the dash. My latest plan was to use this frame, engine, and 4 speed out of the other TR4, and put my TR3 body on it...the TR3 is listed seperately on EBay. Buying both of these would make an easy TR3 project...probably worth more than the restored TR4. Time, money, and age have made me decide to sell all my projects. So this one is for sale. I will round up all the parts I have, and I have quite a few, and include them with the car. If you want a rebuildable engine, my oldest one is available cheap. It ran but smoked ... a lot! The pictures show a blue hood lying on top of the car. This hood is not included. The hood on the car is fine, the blue one is an extra. The car was a driver a little over 10 years ago. It was abandoned at a mechanic's shop and I bought it after they overhauled the engine...and it sat outside in Texas and the sun destoyed the top and interior. Message me if you want any particular pictures or have questions. The car really should be put back on the road. One cool thing, a factory worker in Britain scratched his name and date on the inside of the passenger door.Robert ...happy to answer any questions, please do not bid if you do not intend to pay.On Oct-19-13 at 17:20:04 PDT, seller added the following information: I added some pictures of the frame, various spots, and one down through the engine bay. Not easy for an old man to get down there and take pictures! Frame is dirty, but not rusty...
