We got this car to build for my wife in 1998 it came as a rust free roller it took a few years to get it back to the street by 2002. We built it as a driver not a show car but only drove it 2200 miles to date and none this year yet. So it sets in the garage covered and gets out for ice cream six or seven times a year and a drive in the fall up the hill for lunch, this ride is fast and fun on a nice winding road with the 5 speed it is a lot of fun. The engine was built by Bell and Gaines in Modesto Ca. and is 30 over with mild cam valves and seats for REG gas, Balanced, Headers, 650 Carb, Electronic Ignition, and Flow Masters. New Steering Box, Procar Seats, 1990 Mustang Gt World Class 5 Speed rebuilt, with Restomod Shifter, Front Disc Brakes with correct proportioning valve, All new front end rebuild and 1'' Sway Bar, GT 620 springs stock at rear. The car is set up with a Safety Fuel Cell that was $975.00 at the time. The wheels and Tires were new in fall of 2004, The front glass and hood are new. Most every thing is new except for the rest of the glass, the S S trim, bumpers, tail lights , rear springs but bushing new, and rear end all seamed to be in good condition. The dash all rubber handles all that kind of stuff. New Carpets,Head Liner ,Seats all new. The Head Liner needs to be pulled just a bit just to make perfect. Now the paint Job is in very good condition always inside but we had Macco do it not a show car JUST a driver so to be Honest it could be called a super job at 20 feet no nicks but it was not blocked so you will see small waves here and there in certain light, so if you are looking for the show winner THIS NOT YOUR CAR UNTIL YOU PAINT IT. Now there are two spots to inform you about to cover MY Self at the bottom corner of drivers door there is a spot the size of your little finger that got contaminated from dirt in boot but the shop Manager would not fix it said he was already upside down in the job so we just lived with it, and by the way the car body was all apart when it was painted so it did GET PAINT ALL OVER BEFORE ANY NEW RUBBER WAS INSTALLED, doors were off hood truck lid all off. The other spot in the pictures show a spot at roof just above windshield there were a very few spots that they said they filled. Bottom Line if you what a show car you may what a new paint job but as a Driver I think if is Fine.
