Vehicle Description This 2002 Volkswagen Passat Wagon was a local trade-in that does not meet our Budget Row requirements. This is an auction. To purchase this car, you must bid through eBay. It is not for sale on our lot. We have had trouble starting it when the weather is cooler, but so far it has started every time in warmer temperatures. When in "drive" gear while at idle, the car shakes. When you attempt to accelerate, the car barely moves unless you floor it, and then after 5-10 seconds it will accelerate quickly. It is unsafe to drive in its current condition. The air conditioning does NOT work. You should plan on having it towed. Mechanical issues with this vehicle INCLUDE, but are NOT limited to the following problems: The engine runs rough.The car has major problems when accelerating. NOTE: When in park or neutral, the engine will bog down when revved up.At time of pictures, there were 8 engine codes. P0171 (x2), P0300, P0301, PO302, P0303, P0304, P0102.These codes seem to indicate multiple cylinder misfires, a lean running condition, and a Mass Air Flow sensor problem.The transmission does shift at speeds below 15 miles per hour. Due to the poor operating condition of this vehicle, we did not road test it.The SRS -supplemental restraint- system warning light, also known as the airbag light, is on. The windshield is cracked. The rear brakes are metal on metal.The engine has an oil leak.There is one brake light out.The dash display reads "Airbag Fault"Whole car rattles when in drive at idle and foot on brake.Hood will not stay up.Remote does not work. Cosmetic/body issues with this vehicle can be seen in the photos. This includes, but is NOT limited to the following problems: Cracked windshield. Significant body damage on left and right sides of the vehicle.Left front door damaged, dents on right rear quarter panel, no first aid kit, rear cover multiple scratches, gouges, and chips, LR door molding missing, interior is filthy, at least 1 tire is well worn and unevenly worn, front bumper is loose and misaligned, headlights are faded, all wheels are curb rashed, bumper & grill pieces are missing, antenna is bent, and there are scratches on the roof.Numerous dents, dings, scratches, gouges, rust, bug damage, tar damage, dirt, grime, corrosion, wear, tear, and lack of TLC.
