Vehicle Detail

1969 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Convertible Real barn find and unmolested survivor. "This is a great project that is mostly complete and will not nickel and dime you to death at the parts store." 350 engine (HD code 250 horse) 350 Turbo Automatic Power Steering Power Front Disc Brakes Power Convertible Top Front Bucket Seats Horseshoe Shifter with partial console Twelve Bolt Rearend Original Radio Nice Chrome Nice Gauge Cluster Mileage should be original I took this car in on trade. The guy I got it from did obtain it from storage in a barn. The car has never been altered (molested). The original valve covers are still there. The original point type distributor and coil are there. This car runs, drives and stops. The engine sounds very good, does not smoke and there is no strange noises. The engine is coded HD for a 250 horse 1968 Chevelle 2 barrel automatic. I think its original. I am impressed by the condition of the chrome. The grill looks great except for one ding. Good windshield. The chrome around the windshield looks nice. The chrome at the rear of the top looks nice. Bumpers are good but probably for a driver. I am also very impressed with how well the doors open and close. The alignment gaps look great. Every panel on the body will need repaired or replaced. The floors were patched up by the guy I got it from. I am not impressed with the work in the trunk and would suggest replacing the pan. The floors in the interior can be dressed up to be okay. The top looks like it can be saved. I think when the guy I got it from welded in the trunk he took it loose at the back. Condition of the top is good to very good. The worst thing about the car is the frame. There are two holes that I can see. Both are at the rear of the frame right where it starts to turn up ( one is about 2 x3 inches and the other 1 inch circular hole). The trunk also has holes in this same area and shown in my pictures. Strange how it rusted there. The rust can be patched. I would not drive this car like this for a long distance. The car will need to be trailered. THIS IS A PROJECT. I RECOMMEND GOING BACK OVER EVERYTHING TO MAKE SURE IT MEETS YOUR SATISFACTION. AS IS WHERE IS. NO GUARANTEES OR WARRANTIES EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. $500 deposit within 24 hours after auction and balance due in another method. Prefer cash or Postal Money orders within 7 days after auction ends. Car can stay here as long as you need to come and get it but, payment required within 7 days. This car is located in Williamsburg, Kentucky (exit 11 on I-75). Three hours South of Cincinnati, Ohio and one hour North of Knoxville, TN. You may call me with any questions: (606) 549-0929 (no later than 10 PM EST).
