This 1949 Chevy 3100 pickup is a reliable, nice-looking, daily driver that turns heads and gets thumbs-up every time I drive it. Although it is not a frame-off restoration, and the prior owner’s paint job is just mediocre (see close-up pictures), all of the following are NEW – fuel tank and sender unit, fuel pump and filter, carburetor rebuild, choke cable, radiator, radiator hose and coolant, all 4 brakes – drums/shoes/wheel cylinders plus master brake cylinder and emergency brake cables, front wheel bearings, rear axle seals and bearings, battery, starter, solenoid, spark plugs, plug wires, Pertronix electronic ignition (replaces points and condensor) and coil, Firestone all season tires (P215/60R15), oil filter, oil, air filter, rear view mirror, sun visors, horn, floor mat, body trim,1949 Operator’s Manual and the Chevrolet Truck Shop Manual for 1948-1952 models. I have enjoyed working on it, upgrading and driving it after purchase two years ago and am now selling to preserve marital harmony and, hopefully, make room for other toys. Engine is a 6-cylinder, 235 cu. in., from a 1956 Chevy based on engine block casting number (#3837004), with manual three-on-the-tree transmission and the vehicle has been converted to 12-volt system. All gauges work except for fuel and speedometer/odometer (registers “00000”). Wipers work, as do turn signals, brake lights, dome light and headlights. Hairline crack appears in bottom of driver-side door window (see picture). VIN number (#ID CO 0155) has been assigned and riveted to doorframe by the State of Colorado (see picture) due to absence of Chevrolet VIN plate. The vehicle is sold as is/where is and without warranty. I will require a $1000.00 deposit by Pay Pal within 24 hours of conclusion of auction, and the remainder within 7 days of end of auction, strongly preferring wire transfer or cashier’s check for that payment. I will also accept a personal check for the remainder but I will retain custody and title until your check is honored by your bank. See payment terms.
