THIS BOXSTER IS READY TO GO! -- Here it is in all its glory -- Please let me stop you now if you are looking for an inexpensive, needy, or average Boxster like most of them for sale. This is not that car. I am hired by clients to buy over fifty European cars each year, and I can tell you there is ONE thing I look for: a car with a no-expense spared, documented, service and maintenance history. This is that car. On top of that, it drives tight like new, and the cosmetics are impeccable. It has only gone 28K miles and looks like new. THAT’S why you buy this car. Ask any other seller if they will take their Boxster to an authorized Porsche dealer for a full pre-purchase inspection and fix whatever is found. The answer will most likely be no. Please understand, with these cars, you get what you pay for. I paid top-dollar to get this car, because it DESTROYED every other Boxster I looked at for cosmetics and mechanicals. Here's the deal: -- This is a 1998 Porsche Boxster in arctic silver metallic over black leather interior, with matching black carpets and headliner. It is a one owner car, always Porsche dealer serviced, has only 28,xxx original miles, looks like a million bucks, and was always garaged so no rust or rot anywhere. This car was LOVED, and has NEVER had any accidents or bodywork. There is hardly a ding, dent, scuff, or scratch anywhere…it’s unreal. -- -- Exterior 9.90 out of 10 - Fantastic overall condition paint, body, glass, and trim. No dings. No dents. No scuffs. This Boxster looks amazing, with a deep shine to the silver paint that's like looking into an endless mirror. This car looks great even under fluorescent light in a garage. Imagine getting a 15 year old metallic car with no swirl marks or spiderwebs in the paint….amazing! -- -- The lower side-body moldings are in great shape. The chrome, rubber, glass, and trim is all excellent and original. Headlights were protected by Xpel film for 15 years which was just removed, and they are perfect. No oxidation, fade, wear, rust, etc. as you’d expect of a 28K mile car. Look at the body panels.....they are laser straight. -- -- This Boxster is nicely optioned including leather seats, traction control, automatic transmission with steering-wheel mounted shift buttons, heated seats, aluminum door sills, silver roll-bar, colored crests in wheels, power seat package, AM/FM/CD hi-fi, and more. Wow! -- -- It currently wears its OEM 17” alloy wheels, all true and in excellent condition. The Michelin tires are getting low in the rear, but at the BIN price I will include a near-new pair of Michelin rear tires in size 255/40/17. It goes arrow-straight down the road at high speed with no shimmy, pull, or anything else. -- -- Interior 9.5 out of 10 - The interior overall including all seating and door leather, seat padding, dash, console, aftermarket wood trim, and carpets are in great original condition. No dash cracks, carpet rips, and nearly zero wear of any kind on the leather. Everything looks and feels new. This is not the typical worn Boxster - this car was garaged every day of its life and it shows. No refinishing either, this is the ORIGINAL UNTOUCHED interior, without even any type of detailing, just a wash and a vacuum off the truck from PA. -- -- The door panels and trim are also in great shape, like the rest of the car. The aftermarket wood dash trim is showing some fade at the tops, but can easily be removed or replaced. -- -- Even both trunks and the spare are mint. -- -- The top operates perfectly, and is clean and looks as new as the rest of the car. No wind or water leaks at all. Rear plastic window shows some hazing from the years, but is not cracked and not opaque. -- -- This Boxster also looks great with the top up! -- -- Electrical 10 out of 10 - All lights, switches, radio, windows, wipers, seat motors, top motors, and power mirrors work perfectly. Remote key and interior lights all operating as they should. -- -- The service history is great, extensive and documented all at the Porsche dealer. Regular repairs, and most importantly, regular maintenance and oil changes always performed over its entire life. Recent services include coolant flush, brake fluid flush, and more. The HVAC system is fast to respond, and operates perfectly with scalding hot heat and ice-cold A/C. Seat heaters are working properly. -- -- Mechanical 10 out of 10 - Engine starts, idles, runs, and revs to redline in every gear smooth and strong. Transmission is smooth yet very aggressive, and downshifts eagerly to thrust you forward. No abrupt engagement, just silky smooth shifts. You can NOT tell when this car is changing gears! This Boxster runs at high speed with no vibrations or noises. There are no leaks....NONE. No oil leaks, no top leaks, no nothing. -- -- This Boxster has passed THREE inspections with flying colors. A pre-purchase overall inspection with test drive, a suspension/brake/wheel/tire/exhaust inspection by my mechanic, and an authorized Porsche has gone over the car as well. After their final and thorough inspection for any problems, she’s ready to roll. -- -- Engine is strong and eager to run, transmission smooth and ready to drop down two gears at your command to speed you past slower traffic. Brakes are solid and pedal feel is firm. Suspension is tight like new, no worn tie rod ends, ball joints, struts, or anything else. Steering nicely weighted with no play in the box. ZERO leaks or noises. This car drives and handles like new. -- This Boxster comes with its owners manuals, working remote key, clean one-owner carfax, and service history showing lots and lots of service and maintenance at the Porsche dealer since new, all the way back to day one! No expense spared maintenance and repairs. -- -- This Boxster does not have any signs of wear, no rubber rot, no leaks, no lukewarm A/C....NOTHING. Everything is in fantastic shape, and at 28K miles, it's not even close to broken in yet! -- -- If someone selects the buy-it-now option, I will provide the following: The near-new rear 17” Michelin performance ties. A full $200 detailing including engine bay, carpet shampoo, leather conditioning, orbital polishing, etc. I'll also supply Toughguard protectant for the paint, which you have to see to believe. It will bead water, seal, and UV protect the paint for FIVE YEARS, GUARANTEED....no future waxings necessary. I know it sounds like a B.S. late-night TV claim, but it's not; dealers charge $695 and up for this stuff, and it really works. I will also include floor mats and Mercedes OEM touch-up paint. That’s close to $1000 in value! -- -- Nits: A few tiny touch-up marks to the rear bumper cover, and some minor chips from being on the road for eight years. THAT’S IT! NOTHING ELSE! In the alternative, you can make your deposit via bank wire transfer and we can provide you via email the information needed to make such wire transfer. If the deposit is not received within the required timeframe and alternative arrangements acceptable to us are not made, we reserve the right to make the vehicle available for sale to another buyer. The remaining balance is due within five days of making the deposit. You must scan/email or fax us your state issued driver’s license after you make the deposit. We also require proof of insurance prior to delivering any vehicle. As final payment for the vehicle, we will accept a bank/cashier’s check, bank loan check, wire transfer, or cash. We will not release the vehicle and/or title until funds clear back to the issuing bank. If you pay cash, you can pick up the vehicle immediately. If you pay by wire transfer the vehicle will be available for pickup as soon as the wired funds are available in our account. If you pay by bank/cashier’s check, you will have to wait for the title until the funds clear back to the issuing bank unless alternative arrangements are made. If payment is made using a check we will hold all vehicles and titles until the funds clear back to the issuing bank. Bidder’s Age: You must be 18 years of age or older to bid. Storage Terms: Once a vehicle has been paid for in full, we will store it free of charge for five (5) calendar days and at nineteen ($19) dollars per day after that. Liquidated Damages: In the event that the winning bidder refuses to honor his/her obligation to purchase the vehicle, we shall be entitled to liquidated damages from that bidder in the amount of two thousand dollars plus two hundred dollars per one thousand dollars of the total purchase price of the vehicle. Sales Tax & Other Fees: Depending on the jurisdiction of your residence, the vehicle may be subject to a sales tax. Choice of Law & Forum: Buyer agrees that in the event any dispute shall arise, we have the sole right to select the venue and location where such dispute will be heard.
